OK, the video is very helpful. My comment is about the actual design/engineering of this handle assembly, after having had mine break in precisely the same place. There is so much strain/energy/force on that plastic (I cannot believe they used plastic) retaining element, which is basically 2 parallel pieces of plastic with a hole in the middle. Of course this is the weak link in the assembly, and there is no repair, only replacement with an equally ill-designed mechanism. The "walls" of the hole which take the brunt of the strain are so thin in all dimensions. The Tiburon is such a great car and I had two of these break (first driver, then passenger) within less than a year on my 2004.

Both my outside door handles as well as my inside passenger door handle have broken off over time. I've seen about 3 other Tiburons with outside door handles missing. So dumb lol

How can I open my passenger door if both in and out locks don’t work?

I had the same issue. Use a flatbread screwdriver to pop out the exterior door handle, then grab the inside lever and pull towards the back of the car to open the door.
