Replacing Hyundai Tiburon door handle

Broke my Tiburon passenger side door handle. Bought the part from below link and installed.
Sharing for those who want to DIY as hobby or save replacement labor cost.

Items needed:
1. Screw driver ( Cross and small flat)
2. 10mm wrench
3. Optional - Silicon grease

The first time I did this job the problem I found was that the plastic connector clip that secured the door latch rod to the old handle was not removable. Finally someone came along with a tool that cut the old plastic clip so the old handle could be removed. A dremel or shears will do it. Today I hope to do my second door on this car smoothly.

I watched all the old videos on this a few years ago when I had to replace a door handle. I am doing it again. This is the best video I've found. Happy New Year.

One thing i would add is that as soon as you get the lock key assembly lined up you should put the 10mm screw back in and fasten it down to hold it all in place before you try and put back the lock and door rods back it made life easier for me at least other than that this video was top notch 👌🏻 ⚠️ DON'T OVER TORQUE THE 10MM BOLTS THEY ARE EASLY DAMAGED IF YOU DO ITS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON INSTALL ⚠️

Do all door handles from 2002-2007 fit? And what about the ones from the 2007-2009 face lift?

UPDATE: The job went smoothly until I got to putting in the bolt that secures the lock cylinder This bolt has to go through the lock cylinder tab, the car door body tab and into the door handle. The car door body tab had gotten bent slightly and the bolt could not be inserted/ would not align. After hours or frustration someone volunteered to help and he realized what was wrong. After painstakingly bending the car body tab into alignment the bolt went right in. Use caution removing the old door handle because these thin metal tabs bends fairly easily. Also both of the bolts were the same length in this door. We hand tightened them only.

Where I insert the key, it fell inside the door would I have to do the same process to fix it?

Yes so you can check what is broken and why the key assembly is loose.

@@soulreaper_xero_5243 lol we're still trying. Luckily only my husband uses it and it's the passenger side, so we don't have to worry too much about it. If we figure it out I'll tag you and let you know what we did lol
