I wouldn't know the part number offhand but if you do get on metra electronics website it will probably tell you for that vehicle. If not I would definitely call metra electronics phone number and make sure you have the right part number. Thank you for the nice words and compliment as well

Hey Mr installer, so between the boss audio and the stinger. The boss audio wire strand itself is like a reddish color wire strand and the stinger is like silverish is it possible that the reddish color wire is copper and the silverish color wire is aluminum. I mean I'm only an electrician and in our type of electric copper is always better conductor then aluminum but maybe in the car world it's different.
@shoof16962 жыл бұрын
Stinger is tinned copper and are a bit oversized. I used welding cable for my build and found out a 4awg from stinger or reputable car audio brands is equivalent to a 2awg welding cable

Where did you run the power wire? I cannot find a good place to run it in my 330
@aarumediagroup74323 жыл бұрын
I would run it under the carpet and door panels. You would need to remove the lower back seat and should be able to squeeze the power wire in through the back.
@tedtang10053 жыл бұрын
Drill a hole behind the break pedal then take off the side panels on driver side and run it to the trunk you have to use a sharp razor blade to cut a hole from the pocket b4 drilling your hole

so what amp is running the sub if that amp is a 4 channel? or did you run the door speakers straight to the head unit and only put the amp on the sub? Im having the same issues she was having with my Lexus ES300. Basically the speakers and sub are factory, I switched from factory head unit to Pioneer Double Din but when i turn the volume all the way up it starts getting scratchy then turns off and if i restart it begins to work fine i just cant turn it all the way up. I was told to run the door speakers straight to the head unit and put a amp on the sub but it looks like its only 1 amp in her car.
@octanetvchannel3 жыл бұрын
One channel is running all four door speakers since they are the same size and they don't care about fading for front or rear. Stuff is running on the other channels

@@LoudHouseJuice nope it has to be 5 channel, unless you wanna use two amps. But you could amplify the speakers with your head unit and use a mono amp for ur sub

The amp under the glove box is for a different model. With ML System with double DIN HU's, there are 2 amps. One micro amp in the front right to handle navigation audio and one in the rear to handle speakers. On some models, the speaker amplifier is placed under the glove box like for a single din original HU. If you cut the factory amp and try to hook it up to HU, it won't work cuz the signal processing is different. only option is to leave the old Amp and tap into the amp output. It creates too much electrical load cuz of all the amplifiers though. so may be installing an additional battery and a high current alternator will work.
@Haitianmonte4 жыл бұрын
Is there any reason you did not replace the factory amplifier? I need the trunk space so I do not want enclosure.
@octanetvchannel4 жыл бұрын
Because it's terrible and typically they go out no matter what. So it's kind of pointless to replace something that's going to just go bad it eventually. You don't have to add a sub you can just use the amplifier to power the speakers
@Haitianmonte4 жыл бұрын
I am sorry I meant the factory subwoofer. I do not see any videos where the 8in sub is replaced in same spot.
