You just saved my a$$ from going crazy, i replaced the air bags because they were old and wouldn't stay up i replaced the pump because it was corroded and rusted almost through the casing most of the time it wouldn't stoo running and the pump relay fuse...after all that the light came on again i bypassed it and the light is off...the switch was used almost daily because the pump wouldn't stop running, daily use wore out my switch. you are a genius thank you for your time and knowledge ✌✌

Another thing to check for is blown suspension air bag solenoids. I had similar symptoms as yours, but let it go until it fried my air pump. A new pump was around $200, 2 new solenoids, $55. Passenger side solenoid was the culprit.

I just bought an 04 town car and noticed the Air suspension light illuminated on the dash but assumed it meant it was on? I haven't felt anything abnormal in the ride quality it drives beautiful. I'm going to check this switch tomorrow.

@fordbossme I have an issues 2006 Lincoln town car. I replace whole complete suspension kit, air compressor, replace o rings, valve solenoids, air bags suspensions, and the switch. I connect Autel Mk808Z obd scanner and it said that Air pressure switch are DISABLED, so I press on switch and still DISABLED. How can I solved that?

My air suspension has been replaced with springs. I've been debating on whether or not to put a new air suspension in it. The springs work just fine and a new air suspension is expensive. I'm not sure if the quality of the ride will improve enough to justify the cost.

On the engine stuff they still make some of it on the more demanding things but on the body stuff it says all obsolete

I just started having an issue with the check air suspension and with that the VAPS stopped working, I checked every fuse in the car and the switch in the trunk. I’m only getting 2.5v at that connector. But why would air suspension cause the power steering to not be variable. And I put it on ForScan and neither of those modules show up. I think I might be screwed. 07 with 108 on it.

@@FordBossMe I just went through and cleaned all the grounds really good and nothing. The compressor does work and lift to normal ride height but still got the message and no ps. Sucks because I have no techs around me I trust to look at it.

@@FordBossMe checked the VDM nothing corroded plugged it back in hooked up the battery and it’s all back to normal. I thought because I had the cowl leak maybe it got wet but it’s a coated board so it’s good now. 👍

I know my questions has nothing to do with the good video you just made but I truly need your advice I want to make a decision based on different factors one is your opinion I know your Ford mechanic but if you would have to choose between a Transit van v6 or v6 eco passenger or a Nissan NV passenger = F250 6.2l v8 6speed. Or 7.3l v8 gas 10speed= I do 90% of the maintenance in my cars and I plan to keep them until the wheels fall off can you give me an idea of what will be easier to work on in the future this won't be a factor but it will be good to know. Thank you

So I would fix the 3.7 liter V6 Transit easy to maintain it has good power and the most we are ever doing to them are Tires and Brakes The 6.2 L almost never comes in with problems and it's super easy to maintain 7.3 L is a monster and I hear nothing but good things about it but it's too new so I don't have an opinion on it

Have a 2007 lincoln town car . intermittently, have loss of power steering. Not too bad when driving but you can definitely feel it at low rpms. Replaced power steering pump but no help. Do you have any recommendations?

Yeah might need a steering rack and pinion and a good flush

Check the module behind the glove box too. The VAPS (Variable Assist Power Steering I think it's called) is controlled by the air suspension control module (RAS module). When VAPS fails it defaults to low assist causing increased steering effort on the driver's part.

2002 Lincoln Continental, replaced air bags they seemed have filled up but the rear isn't being held up as I bring the lift down? The dash light says Air Suspension Disabled Any thoughts? Thanks

You're going to have to make sure the switch in the trunk is turned on and when you put it on the lift and lifted it up you should have had it turned off

You may have had the compressor stuck on when it didn't need to be and something happened with the level sensors in the back Honestly the aftermarket world has replacement bags at a pretty decent price if you just do a basic Google Search now I don't know how Reliant those are but I know they offer them as a now pretty reasonable
