I’ve owned 26 vehicles over the years. The pride of my current fleet is a beautiful 2006 Presidential Edition Lincoln Town Car (Signature Limited). It is finished in Light French Silk with a black canvas carriage roof with a factory sunroof and factory 18 spoke chrome wheels. Just a wonderful car that I drive often, it’s just under 150k miles. I over maintain it with engine oil and filter changes every 2,500 miles, transmission service every 25,000 miles, differential service every 50,000 miles. Super easy to keep on the road, just a few known trouble areas, but way more reliable than any new car. I too will replace my airbags with new airbags when they finally go - their ride is sublime. This is my go to vehicle for relaxing long distance driving.

@@GetThisNick Highly recommended. I live in a rural area and love traveling through the western U.S. Most of the time I am driving slightly under the speed limit just enjoying the scenery. This era, 1995 - 2010 was the golden age of cars. They were the right balance of mechanical systems and technology. My 2004 Merc Grand Marquis is the last year for a throttle cable. The Panther Platform is the last domestic body on frame V8 rear wheel drive sedan. You still fell connected to the car. Unlike a unit body car, in an accident, individual panels like fenders can be replaced. Cost of ownership is gas, regular oil changes, and an annual shop visit. The trunk is endless. The new improved intake has a cast aluminum piece across the front and a redesigned alternator mount. Good luck finding a good town car for 5k....these cars have increased in value in the last 3 years. I personally bought an 11 with 79k, and it cost me 14k......the cars that were 5k a few years ago are now going to 8-12k dollars.....

Just bought a 98 Lincoln Continental with 150K for $2,200! Very well maintained. I love it so much ^_^ Not a single issue with it, and it’s so clean! Smoothest ride ever! I may not be one yet (as 29F), but I call it my granny boat ♥️ She so fly haha

New cars ride like shit. Ive been in suburbans brand new suburbans and brand new lexus and they rattle and beat and bang all over. If its not floating like a boat what r they doing? If i want a rough ride id get a muscle car or a truck.

so why do people give away 30-50k when they can get this for 5k and have a car that will outlast a new one!?!?!?!

most cars in the last 20 years have been terribly uncomfortable. saying this is more comfortable doesn't really say much.

Unless you own or ridden in a Town Car you'll never experience the comfort this car has.

@@tyronesills9423 i drive a 2002 malibu in excellent condition and it's very comfy but i assume the town car has to be even better. when i drive something like a ford focus it feels like it will break my back in half.

Since the Town Car was discontinued, the 300 would be the closest anyone could get, since it was full-size with a V8 and RWD. But now, there’s nothing to fill that void. This is why when Ford releases the Mustang Mach-4 sedan, they have to offer a Lincoln version as well.

I appreciate your video, but there's one thing that you didn't mention; and it's a big con against the Lincolns, as far as I know, the big boys were never that great with gas mileage
@j.j.24913 ай бұрын
Screw gasoline mileage. It gets exactly the same mpg at a tiny car does when syuck in traffic - zero mpg. But on an open highway I get 25 mpg at 80 mph in my 2003 Cartier and I am cruising in comfort.

The Lincoln Town Car - 3rd Generation was produced from (1998 to 2011) not (2003 to 2011) as you stated and I should know because I have my late Fathers 1999 and its the same car but the design of the grill did change slightly later on.
@j.j.24913 ай бұрын
But 2003 saw major improvements in the front end including rack and pinion steering and an improved front suspension for better handling.
