I used bread instead of a bearing puller! Pack bread into the pocket behind the bearing and hammer it with a punch! I have a video on doing for those who can't get a puller! Great vid man, glad I watched this to know to replace the cover bearing.

If your magneto rotor failed and made contact with the stator, and you happen to be replacing both bearing BE VERY CAREFUL WITH INSTALL. YOU CAN ACTUALLY DEFORM THE HOUSING THATS ON THE STATOR COVER, THE ONE THAT HOLDS THE BEARING; AND HAS 2 DOWEL PINS TO ENSURE ITS STRAIGHT/LEVEL TO MOUNT THE STATOR ONTO. BE VERY GENTLE EVEN UNDER A PRESS, ESPECIALLY IF YOURE HAMMERING BACK IN, AS YOU CAN BEND/SLIGHTLY OFF-CENTER THAT FKN HOUSING FOR THE BEARING. Then your stator will be ever so slightly off-center, and you risk your stator making the slightest ever contact with your magneto, as theres very powerful forces at play. Big FYI here.

Why does your crankcase have that white mark above the magneto rotor spot? On the case itself, looks like a white marked 'M' ? Mines has it too!!

Stick a flat head in the big and bang it out. Comes out pretty easy.

Was this bearing making a noise? How did you know it was bad?

It's the bearing in the in side the same as the one on the cover

No their different. The inner casing bearing is pt # 93306-20230 at $17 ...and cover bearing is 93306-20124 for $13 on Partzilla. HIGHLY advise changing them together as 1 older one will cause a new one to wobble and burn out. Cheers

after putting the bearing inside how much is the torque for the gear wheel? where did you find the torque for it?

heat the cover up in a pan of hot water bro, it'll expand /aluminum, bearing easier to pull...

You ever change the flywheel out bro? I got a new one from RM stator and the little spacer thing that sits inside of the starter gear doesn't fit around the fat part of the new flywheel waited all weekend to get this part and one part doesn't fit man fuccccccckkkkkk

More times than I can count lol. So I think you're talking about the metal collar/spacer on the very end of the generator drive shaft? If that's the one then make sure you have the correct orientation. It looks identical but upon closer look 1 side is beveled and fits flush to the shaft. If its reversed its slightly raised and may be your problem. Unless they did just send you the wrong part smh.

@@eman85mph nah its not the smaller collar but the one that actually sits inside of the gear sits at the bottom of the flywheel shaft im just gonna try to sand it down tbh hopefully that works its like a cm bigger than the collar 🤬 they either sent the wrong part or it was machined wrong
