2007-2008 GD3 Honda Fit Sport: DC Sports Exhaust/Muffler EX-5016 (Startup/Driving)

Had local shop install the DC Sports universal muffler
Wanted to go a different style aside from the traditional Greddy and HKS, and this came across at a great deal!
Engine Mods:
-Injen CAI
-OEM Exhaust piping
-DC Sports Muffler

Sounds good, I just put on common HKS Hi-power. I'd says yours is def louder but with a great sound....looks like you got the manual driving down good too

Ahh I would def loved the HKS axle back, but wanted to try something different. HKS is still the top dog as far as quality, sound, style goes. Thank you! Yea man, I’m currently still working on rev matching now and rev matching during exiting turn after braking. Def have a long way to go, but it feels good to drive around in manual :)

That, im not sure 😅 you mean from the cat, back to the muffler? If so, unless you have an exhaust leak or want bigger piping, I would just leave it as is imo

@@gregburnley That I cannot say😅 but I know it sounded smooth from interior cabin. I think a big help is keeping oem pipe diameter and oe resonator. Keeps loudness/raspyness down

Did the CAI make a difference since I heard putting a CAI doesn’t make any performance

To me personally, I felt like I lost low end response, however mid-high rpms pull much stronger. Unfortunately no dyno to actually measure before and after

So the inlet size is 2.25 in and the factory pipe is 1.75in safe to assume you just used a few step down pipes?

Yup. The muffler shop just welded on an adaptor

@@tylercabecinha2141 nice! Yea dude. I got the muffler for about $60 and the muffler shop charged about $100 for the custom weld installation. Very happy with the product!

So the Inlet was 2.25in and your factory exhaust is 1.75in, so I assume you used step down adapters on the pipe?

Yes you do need a adapter

What's up fujibo heavy I'm thinking about getting this dc sports muffler for my 2015 Toyota Corolla. What Is the dc sports muffler you have on you Honda fit sport part number ex-5016 or another part number? I have a vibrant resonator, an aem dry flow performance air filter and a paradox signature series elite muffler but only had the muffler on since 11/18/2021 and the paradox signature series elite muffler covered in rust spots everywhere so I want something else on my car. The paradox signature series elite muffler must not be made of all stainless steel because I have not seen a muffler rust this fast in my life. I've used dc sports muffler ex-5016 on a previous 2007 Toyota Corolla but I don't own that car anymore it sounded great when I had the car though. Your car sounds great man 👍 if you could provide the link for the exact part number for your dc sports muffler that would be great I would appreciate it thankyou again. Great video man 👍

I used to have an 2008 Honda fit sport model year with an k&n typhoon short ram intake and an hks axle back exhaust then took that exhaust off and put on an invidia cat back exhaust system. I miss that 2008 Honda fit sport it was always fun to drive I had the 5speed auto. I keep saying that one of these days I'm going to get another manual transmission vehicle weather it be a truck or a car. Great video again man 👍

I was originally looking at GE 09, but decent ones were going for $6k+ , and this one popped up locally, after looking at it, I had to grab it. Been loving it ever since! Now I’m actually, getting the Fit ready for the track in March! My brother will be using it for his very first HPDE event, so curious how it will perform. @@FujiboHeavy I'm very sure that it will perform excellent on the track no doubt in my mind at all the Honda fit sport will be great and excellent 👍 if I can find another 2008 Honda fit sport in blue like I had still in great condition in another 3 years or so I going to grab one and trade my 2015 Toyota Corolla for that. I want to get another manual transmission vehicle because I miss driving manual transmission vehicles because your in control more of the car or truck and it makes you aware of what's around you when you drive alot more.

@@FujiboHeavy hello there my friend I just got the DC sports muffler ex-5016 installed on my 2015 Toyota Corolla today and it sounds amazing with the other mods have done to the car. I also have a 304 stainless steel vibrant 12 inch resonator in place where the stock resonator used to be 2.25/2.25 inlet/outlet part # 1790. I have an aem dry flow performance air filter. I was thinking of deleting the vibrant resonator but I don't want my car to sound raspy or bad sounding. I want to get a short ram intake kit for my car eventually. I made some videos. I have to make some inside the car videos. My car sounds great 👍 with the DC sports muffler ex-5016.
