Thanks so much for uploading this video! I was able to do this on an 09 SS thanks to you! Before I found your video, I had already removed the airbox and had began removing bracket with the ground on yr car but mine isn't grounded there. It has a connector mounted to that piece instead which was held by a plastic push screw rivet. I only stopped because I couldn't remove the plastic retainer that prevents harnesses from being easily unplugged. And I didn't want to destroy the plastic screw that kept it mounted. Glad that happened because it got dark outside and I couldn't continue. So I just did more research and ran across yr video and ended up using the same part you did in the video. Since I couldn't get that bracket off to bring the cable towards me, I did it one handed where it was. I also opted to take the entire metal shift lever off to install the white plastic piece because I just couldn't do it in the car and had no room for a tool to help. I still needed to improvise to get it on there even outside of the car but at least I know it shouldn't come off easily now. Regardless, Zoro rides again! Thanks again!!! ;)

Thanks. Just spent almost 2500 doing an engine swap and getting registration. Got in to drive it and had this problem 🤦🏽‍♂️ saved me a couple hundred ✊🏾

Yoo!! I had the same issue bro!! But I also had the tranny rebuilt and I’m wondering why my mechanic didn’t just swap it while he was there! Lol going to try and fix it myself!

Great video. I have a 2009 Chevrolet Impala and the part that you gave in your video was in correct. I tried the part you suggested and it did not work and the part was Doorman 14104 which did not have issues.

Thx, I have an 09 and when searching for the part online they kept saying the same.. part 14104 is what I needed for an '09 LS 3.5 Impala.

Depends on what repair you are seeking. 14104 is for the same type of bushing from factory that broke. The part he listed, 14073, is not the same as the original broken factory piece. Many people have complained that they have constantly replaced that same factory bushing. It seems designed to fail. I'd rather try something else. I'm just glad he provided video of how to bring the work to u. Unfortunately I still have an additional connector I'm trying to loosen one handedly in my car. I may have to do it the hard way. Thanks for the info on the part number. 14073 is the part number for those looking it fit my 11 impala but had to stretch it with a screw driver first

I did this job on an 07 Impala. It's was easy . 1:30 min later it was on. The last 5 min, proved it could be a 15 min job. I was trying to put the bushing in while still in there. Virtually impossible. So I saw those 2 bults holding the wire in place. Transmission wasn't grounded. Missed it. Wasn't me. But I'm getting that car back in 2 months. I'll be sure to check that put. Newbie thinks 🤔 I know it all 🤣😂🤣 learning tho. 🏌‍♂️🎇🎆
