hey quick question I have 2012 altima with a aftermarket sound system 2 12s amp head unit door speakers and about 2 months ago everything stopped, I thought the bad wiggles a wire because it played then cut off ect. It finally stopped and I started hitting or tapping the dash and it would play for a few minutes then it absolutely syoooed and my head unit is cracked. My ac contrails still work but I don’t know if it’s a wire or the head unit that’s gone. Now that I cracked the head unit I’m going to get another one installed but was curious as to what the problem could’ve been

I just installed mine and it worked great I love it!!!!!. 😍😍😍 I stalled mine on a 2012 nissan altima watching this video was so helpful and I also talked with chat gpt for help. Best project I was able to do at 16 on my own with no help. I was originally going to ask someone to do it for me but I found out it was over $300 which is more than every parts. I bought the main radio for $130 on ebay and as soon as it arrived I got to work. Ik this is a lot of yapping but I'm done any questions ask me, or this channel if they ever respond ig.

How is this with directions? I’m getting one installed in my 2012 Nissan Altima and I’m worried because the screen is somewhat low so I would almost have to look down to see the directions

If your radio doesn’t have a power antenna output wire, just tie it into the red accessory of the radio. It just amplifies the circuit for the radio for better reception.

No but any new speaker will be better then what was installed from the factory

Great video helped me a lot. 1 question the newer units require you to tap the Emergency brake wire. Any advice on accessing this on an 08 Altima with a foot pedal e-brake? I know one of the points is the plug behind the instrument cluster. Very hard to access.

Thank you for the excellent video. I am replacing a factory Bose system, and this video states that the Crux wiring harness adapter will not work but your video of the Crux Harness unboxing says that the harness should work with the Bose system if you use the RCA pre outs. What is the latest and which parts should I buy because the PAC C4RAD is no longer available anywhere? Thank you for your assistance and the awesome video.

i see the ring terminal you have of the ground but it looks like you soldered the ground together when soldering the harnesses. where is that pigtail/ring terminal coming from? the unit-side plug or the car-side (white) plug

I have a 2010 Altima S sedan. It's an old car but I'm still in it all the time. Various parts of the system are starting to go out so I want to replace it. Im going with a 'mech-less ' stereo. Don't need navigation or all the extras. Just a factory compatible system with Bluetooth so I can play from my phone. Crutchfield recommended a JVC KD-X280BT. Can you tell me the additional parts I need for installation? My car does not have navigation & there are steering wheel controls.

My screen works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. Recently it’s been not working more than it does. Also the volume fluctuates and the sound quality drops after playing music for a bit. Trying to figure out what to do from here

is it really true I can't just ground my parking brake wire and I really need the bypass relay on a pioneer radio? My radio owner's manual is aggressively telling me to not bypass any parking brake stuff as it could be dangerous and I don't want to be in trouble if I ever resell my car.

YES and NO - On Pioneer, you can just ground it to get access to basic settings on your pioneer, but other settings or video while in motion will require a bypass to get it to work (if you don't hook it up to the actual parking brake ground).

Is it possible to save $60 by not buying the crux thing if I don't care about radio? I don't have volume controls on my model so that also doesn't matter. I'd just be using Bluetooth to the radio, and need the speakers. Long shot, but I figured it's worth asking.

Without the factory Bose amp or steering wheel volume controls, yes all you need is the basic harness. amzn.to/3t41PTQ

Ive always installed my own head units but my altima i just got has a bose system in it so it has a factory amp. So any head unit i tried to install amplifies the output to send it to the stock amp and its just not working for me. I might try to have someone install it for me

Standard double din radio, regardless of screen size. Most double din largest screen is up to 7", and anything bigger is a float mount style.
