Great video! Thank you. I always wondered why this was a common issue with the SUV's but not so much in the pickups, despite having the same design of handles. I shrugged it off with a hasn't happened to me attitude, as I've had my silverado for over 10 years. It didn't take me long to realize. It's the little a-holes that ride in the back of the suv's. So now I'm fixing my wife's Escalade. Thanks again for the very clear and descriptive video!

This video was a godsend! Just bought my wife a used 08 Escalade with only 63k miles, but we missed a broken door handle. Quick thought since you give some of us a little too much credit…you might make a suggestion to make sure “the window is rolled UP”. 🤦‍♂️ But thanks again!

Awesome video! My handle is broken but its where the back of the handle connects to pull the opening lever inside... anyway, I should be able to fix that even from watching this video! I am also having an issue with my door controls stopped working (no window, no mirror, no door locking)... I've been seeing that it may be the wiring or wiring harness (I already checked the fuses). Do you have any videos on this?

Thanks for the video. A few follow up tips for anyone doing this, for the love of God put some plastic down on the inside of the door. That way if you drop a bit or bolt, you can easily pick it up vs trying to get it out of the notch at the bottom of the door. When you do the front doors, pop out the window control and disconnect the wires there first. Be super cautious when tightening the bolts, one turn too much and the entire handle is now useless. Lastly, I am beyond disappointed at Cadillac for the poor design of these. An Escalade, tank of a door, left to be opened by cheap plastic handles and terrible design…
