I have an American Standard gold four ton heat pump. It looks and sounds similar to this model, but instead of running continuously like in the video, mine turns off for about fifteen seconds, then runs for fifteen seconds, and so on for an hour or more. Installers told me it's the defrost cycle - is that how the defrost cycle is supposed to work?
