2007 Audi A8 - Head Gasket Test

I walk through the steps I took to test the head gasket on my 2007 Audi A8 using a $50 kit from Advanced Auto.

That test is only good for when the engine compression migrates to the surges tank , positive pressure though. If it’s getting sucked in, it would be burned in the cylinders and out the exhaust which can show as a slight amount of stem at all times.

Just did the same thing today it’s been leaking coolant through the overflow and it was bubbling and steaming so I bought a head gasket leak test from harbor freight and it remains blue so I bought a new cap since the old one was loose did you have the same issue?

Turns out I had an upper radiator hose fail. Made a video on that.

Car N' Guitar Dude yeah my was leaking on the passenger fender side from the coolant overflow tank I guess after driving it but I’ll say you did a good job fixing it👍

And one more thing have you ever had and issue with a code p2015 I think it’s a intake manifold flap sensor issue?

Mucho mas fácil poner la manguera de retorno en una botella de agua limpia y si ves burbujas estan mal los empaques de cabeza y listo
