2007 Audi D3 S8 Front Door Panel removal

Do you have to do this to remove the lower storage pockets? The hinge on mine broke and I'm wondering if you need to remove the whole door panel to change it. Thanks for the tutorial.

Started removing the top door trim piece and it seems to be inclined to come off as two pieces. The carbon fiber, then the brushed aluminum. Seeing this I aborted since I knew this was supposed to be a single solid piece. But any idea what happened? Have these pieces separated from the backing that conjoins them? Thanks

That actually happen to the trim pieces on my back door. The aluminum comes off of the backing plate, and I simply glued it back into place.
