You helped me out this morning with changing my alternator on my 07. Had a nightmare of a day yesterday in the scorching heat. Changed the battery yesterday just to get it home comfortably. Got the alternator and came home searching KZbin and your video popped up. Long and short I actually had less problems than you but you laid the foundation. The whole job took 20 minutes. Thank you for such a thorough video and if you have cash app I would like for you to send it to me because you saved me some coins!!

It takes 3 mins to take out the whole air box including piece on top of throttle body, makes life a lot easier cause dropping wrenches like you did grinds my gears 🤣

At 17:55 you mentioned the intake hose had a nut as well, did you reinstall that?
@DrivingTheClassics3 жыл бұрын
Sorry, my mistake. It was not a nut. It's just a stud to guide the intake in place.

Did it solve your issue? I had very similar symtomps and mine was basically rusted wires - connecting the components under the hood. After the mechanic replaced those wires, the car drove as usual.
@DrivingTheClassics2 жыл бұрын
It did, to a point, but the issue was actually the starter cable needed to be replaced. Once I did that, there were no more issues.

I've seen this 10.4 Tesla radio that can go in these trucks. I just bought one myself, and I enjoy your reviews. If you decide to upgrade your stereo/entertainment system. Please post it here.

Iv seen these and want one. How is it holding out? Is it a china one? Im asking because i installed one on my wifes 07 accord. Not really tesla style but it was the 10” touch screen but after a year it started messing up. Resting everytime i put the correct time and date and also i think it had something to do with the AC/heating since it was all controled by the unit and does not blow

Did you check alternator fuse first

I tested the Alternator, I just didn't show that.

Why did you have to disconnect the battery for?🤔
@DrivingTheClassics2 жыл бұрын
It's for safety on my part. It's just something that I have always done when working on anything electrical. It's not necessary, but I have worked on components that were not correctly grounded and blew out fuses and also had welded an ignition cable to the frame. So, that is my preference.

Why not clean the throttle body since it's there in front of you?

I was trying to get it done before the storm hit.

I was hoping you’d put your multimeter leads to it and show the reading.
