That leather isn't bad it's because it wasn't cared for and maintained properly, The carpet is in poor condition because, well you bought a Cadillac with cream color interior lol big mistake also GM's carpet in the Tahoe or Yukon platform has always been bad since the early 90's No big deal it's a wear and tear item just like tires if you don't like it replace it or redye it. Just about everything in this video is minor and or common wear and tear on a Northern Vehicle that is 11 years old. Your exhaust manifolds leaked because of excessive moisture, salt or brine which causes the manifolds to rust severely which causes the leaks. Also door pins wear out..take a 100 lb door and support the weight with a 1/4 thick piece of metal..eventually it will fatigue and need replacing. Hold a 100 lb door 2 feet off the ground for 11 years by yourself and see if your shoulder doesn't need reconstructive surgery LOL. Why do people expect to buy a used vehicle and think it's going to last 15 years worry free. I just don't get it. By all means Nice Cadillac though seriously.

Another thing to look out for is the fuel gauge. Sometimes your fuel from the tank is used to run the engine and you have to replace it.

It's all about how you maintain your car. Mine has always been to the dealer for any kind of service needed. Hence still looking good like new. I can send you photos if you want. This is so weird to me. I have an 09 ext with 32,000 original miles. It's black on black so I don't have the interior issues. But what area are you from? I've never seen a rusted escalade in Texas. Only issue with my truck was the driver side engine mount. I replaced that in my driveway. Is it just an 07 thing? Or are you saying all escalades?

I clicked looking for specific major mechanical issues. Me being down in Tennessee my NUMBER ONE rule is to NEVER buy any that’s spent any time north of Lexington Kentucky. Most of the rust issues are no where near as bad MOST of the time. The majority of what you pointed out? I can fix in my garage myself.

Rust belt beats vehicles to death after 5-6 years. So no one should be shocked to see rust on a vehicle from up north. Indeed the leather is an issue. Even the GMT800s (2000-2006) had issues with the leather cracking on the sides. Mostly because people don't use the running boards. If you step on the running boards and sit in the seat, and do the opposite when getting out, you put very little wear on the outer bolster. Fortunately the center console lids are relatively cheap and easy to replace. A good detail on that car, and it will be good to go until the rust destroys it in another few years. In the south, these commonly go to over 300k.

Also look for abs light and don't assume hub bearing usually failing transmission puts off abs code on trans number 2 with 2008

Forget fading headlights. Look for condensation in the headlights. A new headlight costs $1800 CAD. New ones only last about a year and a half.

A lot of the issues such as rust carpet heater controls and radio are small things that can be fixed if done properly. The rust is small enough now that you'd want to get into it before it becomes a larger problem. The aux issue can he solved by purchasing an aftermarket radio and the rear heater controls can be fixed/replaced as far as the carpet goes reupholstering the carpet and seats can get pricy but if you have a couple days of spare time it'd be easier/cheaper to dye the carpet and install seat covers.

You forgot the Top Dash Panel Cracks. I have two 2007 Escalades and they both did it. The replacement panel has been redesigned so they don't crack. Also, the Exterior Chrome Door Handles are known to break. I have a 2007 EXT with 223,000 miles and I won't sell it. It is the most comfortable, dependable all around vehicle I have ever owned, but the Transmission is slipping badly, which is another issue to watch out for. I just ordered a remaned tranny for mine.

Seems like you might have never owned a loaded GM truck? my 2005 GMC Sierra SLT Crew cab, that I purchased new. I had almost the same issues you have pointed out. GM uses the same leather supplier across the board hence that cracking on all their leather seats look the same. Paint on my truck would spot rust and If you did not take care of that on time, you would end up like the rust spot above the windshield and above that side molding you pointed out. Looks more like a neglected Escalade to me, brother.

I live in ontario Canada too and my 07 escalade is biggest junk I've ever bought...rust everywhere, frame , headers blew a hole , around every door and wheel well. Heated/cooling seats have a defect common problem with clip under seat, radio screen stopped working , back door handles stopped working because string rust out.interior looks dirty all the time.....the smallest things break on that suv. And constantly!!!!

Yes. My 07 door handles are peeling and my pillars are crackimg as well. I'm a homemaker and is garage kept most of day and night. My service traction control and stabilitrack on dashboard comes on when truck is around water like the carwash!! and then the engine will shut down. 109.000 mi paid $65000+ brand new and what a disappointment GM I expected QUALITY

Super expensive..or what about headlights? Pain in the ass to get to. Power mirrors dont fold in anymore . Lots of minor stuff but overall it's also been good to me . Seat repair is 150 center console leather cover is 40 most leather ppl doing a seat and spray will put it on for free carpets buy some used weather tech mats u are in Canada wonder why u have rust issues and carpet not being clean. But again ur leather guy can spray carpet for 50 the throttle body is ur fault u gotta clean it every 20k with cleaner everyone knows that and the cloudy lights remove them sand them with 1000,1500,2500,3000 wet the 2k clear 30 bucks looks like ur a cheap ass not keeping up on ur vehical. Just saying im in florida no rust but 338k ive used havoline high mileage 50/50 k and n oil filters every 4500 changed oil then every 20k cleaned throttle body and mass air sensor at the end of the oil change i dump a qrt and put in a qrt of tranny fluid last 500 miles tgen use a csn of seafoam in ur fuel some heet at ur change and keep up with maintenance but I replaced my air pump with a dorman at 102k still going replaced front suspension with Detroit axel at 133k still going replace rear w Detroit axel air shocks still going wheel bearings at 245k but I kept them greased and clean at wheel rotation. Bought a full dash skin for 155 that u cant tell its skinned but other than the rust it sound like no offense ur a cheap bastard. Air pump Dorman 132 any suspension buy avalanche parts much cheaper. Seat repair w carpets and center console 225 that a high end All weathertech mats used 125 front to back Detroit axel avalanches hubs tir Rods upper control arms shock struts and rear air shocks and suspension parts lifetime warrenty 500 Trunk switch 30 Ur in canada 🇨🇦 buy a set of winter wheels a set of chrome chevy rims on ebay for 250 the caddy center caps for 45 on ebay used set of lightly used tires for 250 on ebay 75 to a 100 to get installed and 40 for tire sensors and ur nice chrome caddy rims use only during spring summer early fall oil changes 30 bucks turn a wrench 🔧 😳 its not hard. So no offense stop being cheap its not that much to do whats right. So everything hiccups included except for the tiny rust probly caused by letting salt stay on ur vehical to long is on u bro take it from me and my perfectly running escalade no check engine codes.
