I use 17s for my snow tires, 19s on the summers. The 19s for sure look better, but the extra space is beneficial when it comes to packed snow in the wheel well. Man, that camera work is really... well... it's hard to see the look of the car/ wheels 😂😅 just a wide steady shot on the sunny side is all we needed. 😀

Just took off my original OEM ContiProContacts from my 2015 Civic. Only 23k miles on them. Still handled very well in the dry, but starting to slip in the rain and the front two were starting to dry rot and some small chunks were starting to come off and wear oddly. Regular rotations would have helped, but either way the compound was getting a bit hard and dry rot. Loved the way they felt otherwise. Just slapped on the new True Contact Tour 54. So far they handle excellent but they’re a bit noisier.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Falken is owned by Sumitomo not Cooper. Molds are used for a while and then sold. Other companies buy the mold and use them to make their tires. The mold doesn’t make the tires the same. Different rubber compounds are used to make the tread, sidewall, wedge, #1 apex and #3 apex. No manufacturer uses the same rubber compounds so it is incorrect to claim you know these tires are the same.

Just got 2 from Wal-Mart for the front of 2012 my Santa Fe(18 inch) 235/60/R18, price was a factor. Will follow up, Winter is round the corner, we shall see. Paid $376.00 for 2, taxes plus some kind of fee. Canadian dollars, taxes in. Out of pocket!

Historically I've had the best luck with Bridgestone, BF Goodrich, and Kumho. But nothing stays the same in the automotive industry. I bought one set of Bridgestone that had an 80,000 mile warranty right at 80,000 and thirty thousand miles later i sold the car with them still on and there was still tread to pass inspection. I've got that kind of miles out of Yokohama. And then the next set didn't even last 50,000. I bought a used Lincoln once that came with new Cooper tires and they were fantastic for tread. That Lincoln drove as good sideways on ice and snow as it did straight up the road but they didn't really last very long. The set on one of the vehicle's around here will last until the very last Hereford comes back but they're noisy. So they'll probably last longer than you'd want... except another set will be 900 dollars. So however long they last is fine. I had really good luck with Kumho Solus KR21. I'd get 75,000 out of a 70,000 set at about the third of the price of a Michelin with similar quiet and gas mileage. I'm not a Michelin fan. But some of them last a long time. I just don't think dollar per dollar they're that good of a deal. I had one set of BF Goodrich that I bought used at 10 bucks each in the 80's that was still on in 92. They had well over a hundred thousand miles. I never buy the Westlake or Chinese tires if I can help it. They don't last.

Bridgestone. But I just bought two 48 week old takeoff Cooper tires with full tread for the price of one at wholesale. So this time.... the tread just almost matches the michelins the car came with. So now I can rotate.

Key to this: you need to know why they were taken off the original vehicle to begin with. Very high likelihood you are buying someone else's problem. Chinese tires still come with a warranty. I'll buy chinese first before used.
