Crazy. My voltmeter went to zero while towing my RV. Tucked tail and went home. Assuming it was the alternator I went to work with the multimeter which created more confusion. The bolt on the driver's side was EXACTLY the problem! It didn't even look bad on the outside but the corrosion on the bolt was nasty. Thanks for posting! 100% fixed.
