I'm a Patriots fan, and I gotta say.. The 07 Giants are one of the most impressive teams of all time. They took down the 13-3 Cowboys, 13-3 Packers, and 16-0 Patriots all on the road.. That's pretty amazing

And later in 2011 they took out the 15-1 packers in divisional and the 13-3 49ers in the championship and they were 9-7 and then won against the 13-3 patriots in the super bowl

@@xWocky151 Yeah man, it sucked from my standpoint. But looking back on it I can't help but applaud. Both runs were incredible. They basically duplicated their 07 run in 2011, minus 1 less combined win for their opponent's.

I thought the funniest thing was TO crying after the loss during that press conference. "You can talk about the vacation, but I think that's really unfair...that's unfair, man! That's my teammate, that's my quarterback! And if you do that, man, that's UNFAIR! We lost as a team today! We lost as a team!" SportsCenter and Stuart Scott talking about how deeply moved he was by TO's speech for standing up for his QB Romo and sure, fine, whatever. I just couldn't believe we made TO cry on top of beating Dallas in the playoffs on the last play. That fucking made my day!

Man this game is so different from what I remembered when I was younger … TO’s drops, Crayton multiple drops, and a big TD drop by fasano… those are the plays that really costed Dallas the game. They converted like 75% of their 3rd downs going into the 4th until the offensive line completely folded. Romo actually was playing a good individual game. The drops, offensive line and penalties were game changing for sure.

Romo is my guy but he took two crucial sacks in the forth quarter when he could have thrown the ball away. Then he followed that up by getting an intentional grounding when he didn't have to. There were a bunch of crucial penalties and drops throughout the game on offense. That really hurt our overall production. Probably should have been a 27 point offensive performance minimum. The first two TD's the defense gave up were so egregious. Obviously the first was just one vomit inducing play. The second Giants driving the hole field in 45 seconds was a series of disgusting plays consecutively.

@@supersexysega those two crucial sacks were on the oline, Romo says hike and 3+ guys coming running through untouched. Anytime a qb has to hike it and run a fast as he can the moment the ball touches his hands. That's on the oline. Overall the oline was terrible that entire second half, the fact that Romo was quick enough and released the ball fast enough to only get sacked twice is actually something barely any qbs ever could do with that kind of pass rush.

One thing I feel that often gets overlooked in the Giants 07 run was the TD right before halftime vs the Cowboys. The fact that Dallas had the ball for that long and scored a TD only for the Giants to come back and sneak a TD before half and tie the game had completely reversed the momentum of the game. @@indy_go_blue6048 Eli was not that good. In fact, it is fair to say that he was below average. In his 16 years, his passer rating was below the NFL average 9 times (more than 50%). And the 7 times it was above the average, 5 times it was 3.8 or less on a scale that goes up to 158.3 or just 2.4% above. Or basically still just the average. He had two years in 16 in which he was somewhat above average. He won the lottery twice. That doesn't make him good. And those are the facts.

@@jasonreid9267 Really? In the regular seasons, the Cowboys scored 45/31 points. The Packers scored 35 points. And the Patriots scored 38. And then in the playoffs, Eli actually scored fewer points per game and had last second lucky plays to beat each one of those pro bowl QBs who scored less than 20 points. And Eli was the hero? Furthermore, in 2011, the 49ers had 27 and the Packers scored 38. And once again in the playoffs neither one scored over 20 and Eli was given credit? Anyone with an ounce of common sense would realize that the defense held 5 pro bowl QBs to almost 14 points below their average. Eli had ZERO to do with this. Think about this.... Eli vs playoff teams that score 20 or less: 8-0. Eli vs playoff teams that score 21 or more: 0-4. How do you explain this? If you think it was Eli, how do you think those teams made it to the playoffs scoring 20 or less points per game? He didn't. Eli was lucky. End of story.

Not really. He had to rely on Brady to have one of his worst games of the season and multiple lucky plays to pull out a last second win. Just as he did against the Cowboys. And Packers. And the 49ers in 2011. The Packers again (no lucky play needed, but Rodgers was well below average). And the Patriots again. Eli vs teams scoring 20 or less: 8-0 Eli vs teams scoring 21+: 0-4 Without the defense to bail him out in those other 4 games, they were losses. Seriously, in the 2007 regular season, the Cowboys scored 31 and 45 points against the Giants. The Packers scored 35. The Patriots 38. And then when none of them score over 20 in the playoffs, it was because of Eli? Please explain.

Parcells had Lawrence Taylor, the greatest defensive player in NFL history AND Bill Belichick, the greatest defensive coordinator (who would go on to be widely considered as the goat head coach) on his team so having both first ballot hall of farmers made it a lot easier for Parcells to win. Meanwhile Tom Coughlin had lesser (still very good) players and coaches on his roster and yet he still managed to get the same number of Super Bowl rings, especially in the salary cap era where you can only spend so much to build a roster so yeah, I give Coughlin the nod over Parcells for greatest Giants football coach!

When I bring up WR Patrick Crayton - who a lot of people kept saying, he had "THE BEST HANDS ON THE TEAM" (WRONG. Witten had the best hands on the team. Witten doesn't even play for them anymore and his hands are still better than anyone's on the current team), and how he DROPPED "TWO PASSES" (something a player with "THE BEST HANDS ON THE TEAM" would never do in a playoff game) that would've extended drives - and help RUN THE CLOCK OUT on the Giants, people look at me, like I don't know what I'm talking about and want to keep talking about Romo going to Cancun, and how he's a "CHOKER." @@jctslice i wouldn’t count the Tampa game an upset (I think they would’ve beat Tampa either way)

the demarcus ware penalty just before the half was a backbreaker for the cowboys

I remember watching that penalty and immediately thinking, "Oh, no..... Something bad is about to happen." And it did. Eli almost had 1/3 of his yards for the day on the next TD pass. The defense shut him down most of the time, except then and right before halftime. Without those, he had about 40 yards in roughly 22:00 of game time.

Not to mention the previous offsides penalty against him, which was just a clear bad call. Would have resulted in zero points instead of the seven that the Giants ended up getting.

The good: Re-living this amazing upset, one of many on the Giants way to their third Super Bowl win The bad: Having to listen to the commentary from Numb & Number. Whenever they called a Cowboys game, the bias by Aikman was palpable.
