I’m doing my rear rotors I’ve taken off the ebrake and nothing. They still won’t come off any suggestions?
@HowToWithLech4 жыл бұрын
If ebrake is off they should pop off. did you tap them with the hammer. might need a few good hits to loosen if really rusted. mine did.
@Carmen-fg1je4 жыл бұрын
How To with Lech yeah we have do you think we should try it with a different hammer and not a rubber mallet? We also added dw40
@HowToWithLech4 жыл бұрын
Carmen YES real hammer. On the heavier side.. Rubber mallet won’t do anything . And don’t forget that E-brake.. Hope it worked out

Yeap same problem but I beat the hell out of it with mini slag
@DanielDimas-ox1tcАй бұрын
I heard you have to lift the other side off the ground also to disengage the possi rear end. Not positive if that’s true though.

Do rear rotors matter of vented or not
@HowToWithLech4 жыл бұрын
For install steps, no same idea. Vented is more of a performance rotor for better cooling etc, so on a car like mine it really not a big deal (only a V6) . I had them once and they wore out faster on me too, i guess have to invest in higher end version if getting vented. Thats just my personal opinion. For every day driver there is no need for Vented. Save your $$. Also anytime buying, seller should make it clear if fits your car etc.

Want the rotor wiggle without clips on the front?
@HowToWithLech26 күн бұрын
Clips?
@scottforrest-d6r5 күн бұрын
Should have used. Jack stands should also have replaced break hardware and greased. Slide pins might want to wear real shoes next time for safety.

are the rear break pads semi-met pads or ceramic?
@HowToWithLech6 жыл бұрын
Think I got this kit from fastsource_autoparts on ebay. These are Ceramic, and so far holding up great.

That is exactly where the two welds on the frame connect in this car.. good place to put the jack or stand. Preferably both
