2007 Dodge Durango - Coolant Change

This is how I changed the coolant in my 2007 Dodge Durango. The service manual says it should be changed every 100,000 miles or 5 years. I didn't really do a full drain, flush and refill because I am not having any problems with the cooling system; this is a partial change. Click on my name to see my KZbin channel. Good video. I want to also thank you for your video on their rear differential as well. I have the 3.7 liter motor and I found a bleeder screw. It's located where the top radiator hose meets the engine block. It's a hex screw. If it's on the Hemi, hopefully it's there.

No 3.7 it's 4.7

the actual bleeder to burp the system is on the waterpump housing its a allen key size 5/16

Hi, thank you for your video!. I have a 2009 Durango SLT 5.7 Hemi, will have to do the cooling system flash tomorrow, bought 2 bottles of PRESTONE flush+cleaner and 5 gal. of PRESTONE prediluted 50/50 coolant (for ALL VEHICLES, HOAT&OAT compatible), also thinking to clean the reservoir...will have to investigate how to remove it...have you done this?. Thanks again.

I don't recall if the reservoir drained. I didn't notice any change in coolant temperature after changing it.

I have a 05 hemi. Did the resoivar drain with the radiator as well? I checked mine and its probably at half. N in december im going on a road trip, and was planning to just drain and refill. Did yours have any change in temperature after you refilled?

Tap water is ok

You could probably get away with it but I don't like introducing any more minerals in the system than needed. Distilled water is cheap so I use it just to be safe.
