In today’s video, I get to do a walk-around and a review of my friends Pete's 2007 Ford Crown Victoria P-71. We're not hiding anything and showing everything! This car is a first on the LOVE WHAT YOU DRIVE channel. This Crown Vic has a 3 inch lift, 32 inch mud terrain tires, spacers and no exhaust. The car also has a front fascia guard, Christmas lights, strobe lights, emergency lights, police equipment and it even came with its own "slim jim" tool from the previous police and fire departments. Pete lets us in on his Panther and the story of how he acquired the car. It wouldn't cost A LOT of money to jack it up, but once it's converted for off-roading, it won't be worth a s**t on the highway. Ya gotta CHOOSE, or else ya LOSE !!😁

NOPE. No Dealer would agree to mount this heavy bar or accessory lights on a stock civilian vehicle, for fear of being SUED. Or LAUGHED AT, down at the Burger Palace. 😁

Does anyone have an idea how large a of tire one can put on safely without any rubbing or whipping out a saw? ; ) : )

You can fit most likely up to a 29-30” tire without that. That’s my car, and running 32’s on it and I had to trim, and it’s rubbing too

You MAY get away with a 30" tire, which is a plenty big for a stock-bodied Panther. Most important is that there's NO RUBBING. NONE !! NOTE: Off-roading in your Panther requires removal of the REAR SWAY BAR in order to allow full articulation of the rear axle and give maximum forward grip when climbing.

30" is what I keep hearing... and the stock 17 in. rims can go as wide as 265.

Regardless of tire size, a Trac-Lok or other type of limited/slip differential is a MUST for off-roading and/or 4-wheeling. Those big tires will slow your acceleration, increase your stopping distance, and reduce fuel mileage. It's generally NOT a good idea, but Panther owners do crazy shit all the time. 😁

YO, Love !! If you're looking for a title for this rig, I suggest "The Great Pretender" -- 'cause it's pretending to be either an F-150, or it's pretending to be a Cop Car. It fails at both, 'cause it's neither. This car's lighting would be ILLEGAL for use on a public highway in most states. Those "Push Bars" add excess weight over the front wheels, which changes the P-71's handling, and NOT for the better. NIX on that trunk-mounted Light Bar -- it's foolish, and DANGEROUS !! Flashing that light on a tail-gater MIGHT get you shot !! But hey, those are New York plates, so the kid's not gonna be a danger here in Arizona.

The emergency Lights aren’t illegal at all (amber/white), the lightbar doesn’t even work. Because I have to redo the wiring. The steering isn’t affected whatsoever, it’s still handled like a P71, and if I wanna make my car look foolish, and “dangerous” then I will. This is my literal dream car.

@@petertafe2747 It's nothing PERSONAL, Peter -- But, at 85 years of age, I have A LOT of experience with both the Panther chassis AND 4-Wheeling -- and have driven a car, truck, or SUV through ALL 50 of our great states, 3 Canadian Provinces, and 3 Mexican Estados. It would behoove you to heed the advice of more experienced drivers, but, of course, you're free to do whatever you want, regardless of the consequences. You don't have to convince ME that those "Emergency Lights" are not illegal, you'll have to convince a Cop and a Judge when you get busted. Regarding that Push Bar -- the fact that it negates the handling is not an opinion -- it's a fact that's determined by the laws of physics, and backed up by the Bondurant Racing School's instructors. Lemme ask ya -- Have you EVER been to a GoodGuys Car Show, or SEMA, or even the New York Auto Show ?? Didja see even ONE show car or truck with a Light Bar mounted on the BACK !?? I'll bet ya DIDN'T, because it just ain't cool, and, in most states, it's ILLEGAL to display a white light to the REAR of any forward-moving vehicle. I wouldn't want to see your Dream Car become a nightmare. Please drive carefully -- the life you save may owe me big money.
