Thank you! Saved $400 doing this myself and couldnt have done it without this video. Tip: Pay close attention to the part where he sets thermostat to cold before installing. I missed that part and spent 30 minutes trying to figure it out. Watched again, saw it. Easy after that.

@@thomasfixit7931 the best advice was to remove that 12mm bolted bracket, and set the controls to "coldest". I'm hopping in there now. I hang upside down on the driver seat, almost passed out. haha

The bracket does not wear out so keeping that in place makes it easier to replace. The window "regulator" on the Accord even has a keyhole on its bracket to help installing it so the top bolt does not need to be removed.

Hello Thomas, thank you for this video. Very informative. I really want to know what exactly tools and sizes did you use to the screw and other volt. I am planning to remove mine and replace it. Thank you Thomas! Its the same right of my Honda Accord 2007 V6

I’m getting uneven vent air conditioning temperatures. The passenger side seems to be fine. But the drivers side is blowing warm air. My drivers side actuator goes up smooth and effortless for heat however for the ac it goes down far enough for the air to blow but hesitates and stops. Does that indicate that it’s stuck and the actuator is bad???
@thomasfixit79316 ай бұрын
You may just need to charge the a/c system. Check out my other a/c video
@planchik Жыл бұрын
is this the part that controls temperature or the direction of which vent the air is coming from?
@thomasfixit7931 Жыл бұрын
This one helps control the temperature, the one that controls the direction is behind the glove box

@@thomasfixit7931 so on my 07 accord, the driver side blows hot and passenger blows cold. then this one would be the one to replace or the one behind the glove box?
@scirishrugger2 жыл бұрын
Is this what controls the cable that goes under the hood that moves to allow coolant into the heater core when you turn the control from cold air to hot air?
@thomasfixit79312 жыл бұрын
No, it controls the flow of air.

hey. I found out that my blend door aculator is out of order/cycle. I searched so much on KZbin and google. My aculator would think that it is on max cold or hot but be on the wrong direction it is pointing at. When I try to align it to the flips it does not match/fit. Is there any way to rest the aculator. Thank you for you support.
@thomasfixit79313 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you just need to replace the old one.
@joshfreedman2519 Жыл бұрын
Did you end up finding a fix? I had a factory actuator and replacement actuator both rotate the same way out of the normal sweep. They wouldn't rotate down all the way to max cold but would try to over-rotate up past max hot. I'm not sure if there is a procedure to set the actuator back to the factory range of rotation.
