Hey, I had a quick question. Just replaced my abs module (sent the oem one in and got fixed) on my 2007 ls460. have tons of lights of for lost communication with ecm. Is this a programming problem with my module? What would you recommend I do? Any help would be super appreciated!

Mine was the fuel pressure sensor. I don’t know about the fuel economy after the fix. hopefully it doesn’t mess up and burn gas like crazy

When you reached behind the engine to disconnect it what exactly did you disconnect. You turned on the car after it was disconnected and I want to test it out exactly how you tested the sensor before I take off the intake manifold.

Lol looks like my wiring mess with my remote starter issue. Also I'm glad I tore into it because there's a relay wired in and removing it caused a no-crank. So good to know for me if that relay ever dies I will know where to look instead of going to maybe the starter or something first. (also commenting half way through the vid so maybe you find out more here)

Have you try to start engine while you press the gas pedal all way down to floor?if your engine starts and shutdown after you release the gas pedal then look like your engine mis timings. You need to replace vvt solenoid valve.

I was having the same issue except it wasn't cranking at all no sound or anything just a fuel pump priming so i jacked the car up tapped the starter with a ratchet started right up so I need a starter

The FPR shorts out basically sending a low voltage to the ecm and it puts the ecm to sleep so there will be no communication to ecm or pcm

Yes you can test the starter under special functions but not all the scan tools can do that

Bad fuel pressure sensor, shorts ECM 5v ref to ground and shuts the ECM down.

You should have either found the starter relay and jumped it from relay or turn key on and tap the starter

Need help, my 08 is250 turn off on me during while drying in the car wash. Vsc light, battery, cel came on. Pulled out the code & it said p0351-p0356 which is the ignition coils.. is it possible for all to go out? I checked the battery & it’s good, maybe bad ground wire?

This can happen due to shorted ignition coils. Try replacing the ignition coil 1 and 6. Them shorting can also knock the computer offline

@dub9activist955 oh... I misread. Try this... if you can access the coil connector, disconnect one at a time and see if the car start each time. If it starts, that should be your culprit

Great stuff my friend; lots of combinations and permutations to these cars in resolving issues, but you can't beat patience and a level head. Working with an IS250 and so far I have not managed to get the diagnostic to determine whether the arbitrary dying could be the MAF Sensor, the Fuel Pressure Sensor as you found in this particular vehicle, or even the Crankshaft Position Sensor, but the car can be performing beautifully on a stretch and comes into a junction requiring that you slow down considerably and it just loses the gas supply to the engine, thus activating a solid illuminated "check engine light". I have cleaned the MAF Sensor a few times now and sure enough after the 5 to 8 minute period after drying the car starts nicely again but surely that cant be the issue I don't think. So I'm awaiting my turn to see the mechanic. Feel free to comment.

Take your hand and run it along the center manifold and perimeter. triple check all the fasteners and nuts retraining the manifold. Check for brackets surrounding the manifold. At times the gaskets can seem like glue but if all the bolts are removed, it should crack loose! I can promise you, you're likely overlooking one

I had the same thing removed from my car , I own my car it had a remote start with. The key fob found out later after the purchase , he removed it and re wired my car 2003 Honda accord ex v6, he basically said the remote start stop working idk his he tested it back he got it back up and running

You didn’t have 5 volts at the cam sensor. Your meter auto ranged it said 5.1 millivolts
