Don't cut your boot. Also when putting back together put the boot on the plastic part and then push into hole.

Thanks, saw your recording a while back when I was replacing the driver's side mirror, and kept it in the back of my mind for when I'd ultimately need to reference it. It certainly save's a bit of time and effort reinventing the wheel, when you can benefit from other people's experience with a few clicks.
