Jeep commander power windows stopped working *fixed*

@Josh Enns Dude thanks a million. My rear driver side window would go down but not up. So I tore apart the entire door panel and removed the entire solenoid and rail system to manually move the window bracket to the up position. So I put it back together and I was in the process of ordering a new window motor and solenoid when I stumbled across your video. Sure as shit some dickwad was also splicing wires on my Commander in the door boot as well. You saved me about 100$ by not having to order that solenoid Lol. Just fixed my windows/locks today based off this video. Had a couple severed wires I spliced and they now work

Guy your video helped a great deal. I went all over including jeep sites and couldn't get a straight answer to my problem. I swapped out a number 10 amp fuse in the 8 slot and now all well again in the world.lol

This is the same issues I have with my 07 jeep. No interior lights, the window won't work, and the same side mirror won't work? Will have a look tomorrow with the help of your video. Cheers. I expected a lot better from jeep.

On my Jeep the roof leaks so all this water trickles down onto the fire while and onto this fuse board and f**** up things. That I have to check Jeep commanders are not watertight they are not very good Jeeps at all

Thanks, this was something I had not tried, but unfortunately my issue is the right rear window works 100% of the time and others, including the mirror adjust and electric locks, work randomly. Currently drivers window is stuck down. It's gotta be a short, but I have looked at every possible location I can find. Arrrgh

Trying this tomorrow after finding corroded wires in door jam . Jumped wires still no power will check those fuses and keep posted! Thanks

My issue is that I cannot get to the fuses like they are too far back and down and I can't pull them out, my cigarette lighter is out

How does this even happen! My 08 had same problem, shitty wire?

MinusTheTbird I'm guessing it's just from the thousands of times the door gets opened and closed, eventually the insulation on the wires is going to give out as it gets older. I'm thinking cold temperatures probably don't help any either cause the wires would be stiffer and wouldn't flex as well possibly causing cracking in the insulation. At least it was a fairly easy fix for me, I hate chasing electrical problems.
