2007 Kia Sorento Door Won't Open Inside or Out!

My 2011 driver's door is like this. I'm pretty handy and just successfully replaced my radiator but I was at a loss on what to do about the door. If this works on my model I'll officially consider you a god among men. I'll come back and let you know if it works.

The door trim inside come off. Did mine. Tie a wire to the latch pull the lock and the door handle at the same time

The door handle doesn't pop off as shown. I had to take a hole saw that you attach to a drill and cut 2 holes in the door handle before I could pull it off. Everything else that he shows you is correct.

So I accidentally engaged upon childproof lock and the outer door lock handle was not working. Thought I would have to bust the handle as described in the video. I was able to wedge a thin flexible plastic putty knife between the trim and push it against the childproof lock and slide it into the unlock position and Lala the door opened from the inside. Just an alternative to popping out the door handle as described if it's the childproof lock that is the issue

One day both my rear doors stopped opening, thought it was fuse or electrical issue. Noticed I couldn't even pry open the lock tab from the inside and force it open, going to look at this.

So you can get into every Sorento by just ripping off the handle. Wth. Forget fixing the door I'm selling the dang thing. I got a big subwoofer in the back.

Hey, Couldn't you just hold the lock open on the inside and open it with the inside handle? The rod you pulled after removing the outside handle is the lock rod for the inside handle. I'm literately in the middle of this repair as I watch this video.

Well, no, you couldn’t. If you’re dealing with the same problem I had, the door lock actuator is broken, so the lock rod doesn’t work. Plus, I was trying to avoid destroying the interior door panel which is $$ to replace.

Is this the correct way to do it? U just damage the handle. Theres on video showing unlock the childlock switch make it able to be open from inside
