Switch off Kia Sorento child safety lock with plastic food container

My external door actuator was busted and the inside wouldn't open either because of child safety locks. To open the door as a prerequisite to replace the actuators I needed a method that even an undextrous oaf and cheapskate could use. This method uses a empty container of parmesan cheese, but it could be using the former residence of a salsa, pudding or pork sung. I think this method would work for a lot of cars.
