2007 KIA SPECTRA Strut Assembly Replacement

In this video i show you "how to" replace your worn out or broken struts assembly!! this is perfect for first time DIYers and beginners!!!its pretty straight forward!!!give the video a watch and learn how its done!!!
first off jack the car on both sides front end of car!take out the tires!!
then use pentrating lube/wd40 on the bolts and knuckle/sway bar!!!!
let it soak in then get ready to wrench!!!!!
tools youll need..
breaker bar.
17mm socket and wrench
14mm sockets and wrench
penetrating lub or wd40
blue locktight (medium)
pry bar
plyers
brake cleaner
wire brush
jack and jackstands!

Thanks G. I watched your video and a few others before changing the parts, and it was like I've done it a dozen times before (in my mind). The nut blaster and torque wrench made it sooooo freaking easy to loosen the nut. It was light work. I almost got a kink in my back last time not doing that.

Hiya from Rochester, NY! You’re lucky you don’t have to deal with the insane salt and rust here! Just one thing I noticed - when you buy those preloaded struts - they often don’t match the specs of the original strut. The spring can be thicker gauge resulting in a rougher ride than you started with. Also sometimes the height is a bit off too which ends up raising the front of the car. Idk how manufacturers get away with this garbage. Great how-to though, hopefully the one in about to start in 35-degree weather goes as well 😉

Wild wild wild!! Yeah im on an island so we near that salt water air and the heat so might be similar with rust type of issues...and big thanks for the info!!! About struts! I was wondering if the rear replacement was the same besides taking out the seat in the back? Ive seen some people say you need to cpmpress spring in back but do i need to if i get a whole replacement?

Yeah torque wrench 🔧 if you dont have just tighten down securely

Gonna be honest if you can do it yourself it be waaayyy cheaper!! I think its actually easier than the front butt!!!!! Sorry i dont know a rondo video for you!! But its pretty similar!! Id say
