This 000-42 is a beautiful example of Martins's high-end construction Custom Shop build quality; the 40 series and above are the pinnacle of Martin's 175+ years of building quality instruments. This guitar is 16 years old and well-played by its previous owner; it has a few minor scuffs and finish-checking but is in relatively excellent condition. This guitar is perfect for the player who wants less tension than its OM or Dreadnaught equivalent; it is ideal for fingerpicking and strumming.
From Nick: This period of Martins's Custom Shop saw some of Martins's most remarkable series of guitars; the team of builders hit their stride by making amazing Authentic Series D-18s, Signature models, and vintage series recreations. I have owned a 2007 Custom Shop guitar since 2008, and it is exceptional and my #1.
