The dad of a friend of mine had one of these he said the CLS is a ship on the corners but for the straight lines it's awesome. I think these engines are quite affordable if you keep it in good shape and well mainteined (changing engine oil frequently, driving pretty fluid, do not pull it after a cold start and so on..).

I own a cls 2005 350 it’s been passed down from my dad to then to my two older brothers and then now to me and I have to say it never rattled like this I’m very surprised. I think people should take care of the car better. Like we bought an A200 hatch back 2022 and that thing was brand new straight from the dealership and it has so much plastic and squeaks. I understand that it was the lowest model of Mercedes but still tho. They didn’t make them how they used to honesty.

This is a car with an automatic (torque converter) gearbox, so no clutch pedal for manual shifting. You can change gears on the gear selector.

Jolly John My CLS55 is flawless but had same noise. Needed silicon spray along rubber window seals. It is caused by dry rubber surrounding window.
