The 1st All Stadium Whiteout in Penn State History. Oh boy was that a fun game. There were so many people on campus at that time nervous from a standpoint that would everyone wear white. AND EVERYONE DID!

The 2008 season made me forget about Anthony Morelli in a hurry

Favorite random statistical oddity from the 2007 season: with the exception of Illinois's upset win in Columbus, the longest run the Ohio State defense gave up that regular season was an 18 yard scramble by ........... Anthony Morelli! Of all people!

As a ND fan I have to ask myself....why the hell did you watch this again.

This was by far the worst Notre Dame team of my lifetime. The 4-8 season in 2016 was probably a bigger failure because there was a lot of talent on that team, but the 2007 team just couldn't do anything well. After the way they manhandled PSU in 2006 I thought ND was going to win it all, but it was pretty much downhill from there.

The problem with the 2007 team was they lost too much talent and had Jimmy clausen come in as a true freshman
@ericdaniel3233 жыл бұрын
@@MoonlightGraham0 yeah. They might have been a 7-5 team with Evan Sharpley at QB. But Charlie spent summer camp installing a read option offense for Demetrius Jones and then scrapped it after the first half of the opener. What a disaster.

@@ericdaniel323 You could blame Willingham or davie but the bottom line is Charlie was in over is head at Notre Dame and should have just prepared Jimmy or Evan.

@@MoonlightGraham0 Spot on. Additionally the 2004 recruiting class, which was Willingham's last full class, was AWFUL. Those guys would've been Seniors on the 2007 team. Half of the 2005 class belonged to Willingham and that class wasn't very good, either.

@@cameroncrazie818 if Charlie came in after Lou holtz I think we would have faired better maybe we win a few major bowls a title then Charlie leaves then we get Kelly and we may have a fan base on the same page and not divided

The only real change from 07 to 08 for PSU was who was behind center. Wish it would have happened in 06 instead of 08. Morelli's highlight game was a few weeks later against a ranked Wisconsin team. Had this Notre Dame team had any teeth they could have easily won, game should have been more lopsided before Williams got them started. 32 years of PSU season tickets and I cant think of anyone I had less faith in at QB when it mattered. He was good when they were the more talented team and things were going well. When their was any adversity, he fell apart.

Morelli was a bad quarterback
@dougalmacrobbie19187 ай бұрын
No, he was inconsistent. Moments of brilliance, moments of mediocre. Just never could quite be consistent enough when it mattered. But, the usual Penn State bug-a-boos were evident here. Bad tackling, allowing ND to make plays they shouldn't have been able to make. And guys on defense not being able to shed blocks quickly enough.

I have figured out that the home team is supposed to win. College football is fixed. Occasionally they have to mix it up to make it look like things aren’t fixed. It’s called bullshit!!!!!!!
