You have to manhandle a Tremec, which is fun, but it shouldn't be that tough. Same for the clutch on these. I would suspect the clutch has an issue. It's a muscle car, so the clutch is the first thing to take a beating.

@ferretkiller94543 жыл бұрын
As others have stated, especially the 2007s have issues with the clutch/shifter. Having to push it in like that is making the synchros work very hard to mesh the gears. The owne r needs to address the issue instead “muscling it in” or he’s heading for a transmission rebuild sooner than he’d like. My car already had some 2nd gear grinding/catching when cold from this exact issue when I got it. The fix for my car was a McLeod rxt, mgw gen2, new throw out bearing/slave, and a blowfish racing mount to really make it part of the trans (that really finished it off) making the shifts feel better than any other car I’ve driven with how direct it feels.

Thank you for understanding the point of these cars. They’re weren’t the sophisticated or complex, but sophisticated and complex likely weren’t considered when Ford was developing this car. The point of this car is to give off charisma above all else, and be an achievable dream for nearly every American. When the plumber or lineman is done for the day and drives his GT500 home, he doesn’t care that it has a live rear axle, or if the transmission is notch-y, or the clutch is heavy. He cares that A: it was affordable. B: it sounds darn good. C: he can overtake anyone on the back country two lane highways without having to give it a second thought on his way home.
