In all seriousness, I am having a hard time pulling my tank back. I got the bolts off and I can get one side of the tank to pop up but not the left side. Is there a trick? I'm not flushing my system, I'm trying to replace the fan switch. I am hoping I don't have to take the tank off because I'm not sure where the fuel shut off is. My radiator fan is not coming on.

@lastdaysdreamer You have to wiggle the tank back and forth to get it to dislodge from the u-shaped brackets in the front. The fuel cut off is on the left hand side. Unfortunately the lever to cut it off is towards the Inside of the bike and difficult to get to. I usually take out the two bolts in the back and put a 2x4 under it to lift the tank up in the air. That will give you the opportunity to get to the fuel cutoff lever.

@lastdaysdreamer just to make sure you're doing it correctly. The tank should slide back on the bike not up. Once it slides back a couple Inches it should then lift up

@@jimgobrowns5554 thanks. I will try again tomorrow. I had to quit because a storm came in. I appreciate your help though.
