Could this be a reason why my 2008 DL1000 misfires? It only seems to happen in 3rd or 4th gear, around 50-60kph and at approx. 2,500rpm to 3,500rpm.

...and I should add NEVER, when the engine is under load, ie. only when I am riding on a flat stretch of road.

The secondary’s should move mechanically I believe. Just electric

You slapping the sensor doesn’t do anything. It’s electric sensor haha. It’s just the vibrations through the whole thing that makes the valves move. Just give the springs some oil or replace them
