Thanks for putting this together, however, after removing the bumper on my 2013 Genesis, I discovered there is no reason to remove the bolts that broke in the video @ the 4:00 minute mark. Mine broke too and once I had the bumper off it became clear their removal is not necessary. I'm going to try to drill them out and replace them, but if that doesn't work, the chrome exhaust moldings are going to shake around a bit. I did this just to get to the center chrome molding that was bubbling. After all that work and those broken bolts, and a few broken clips, not sure it was worth it lol.

Brian, yeah this was my first time doing this bumper. Those bolts on that exhaust tip get rusted so easily there should have been a better design. They over engineered this bumper to see our paint and suffering. Well at least you go the chrome trim replaced and hopefully drilling the bolt works out. Great video. Question. I have to replace the center chrome piece on the bumper. Do I have to take the bumper off to do this? I ordered the part thinking it just popped. Off/on. Any help is appreciated. Hoping I do not have to take the whole bumper off to replace the center moulding strip. Thank you!!

If I remember correctly you will have to take bumper off as it does have screws for those chrome strips unfortunately.

The chrome strip is screwed on from the back, i'm in the process of replacing mine right now

@@broncoswon9432 I did mine this weekend, it’s a task, I removed the bumper completely including the reinforced part . Had to disconnect all reversing sensors and I think a proximity sensor for keyless entry. The chrome piece is part of a larger plastic piece that pops out after removing a few screws . This then exposes the 10 or so screws securing the chrome piece, I did take a few pics that I can upload if you wish

In process of having bumper cover replaced on a '13 Genesis 3.8. Exhaust tip bolts rusted out and broken with impact wrench. Drilled out bolts but nuts on bottom of tips looked fused. Are those welded to the part?

thank you for the Genesis video. the Genesis G1 had terrible clear coat for the 3 stage pearl white! all over. it sux and Hyundai will not recall and fix! that yellow color is horrible. good video

You're supposed to take the reinforcement off with the bumper. You missed a couple 12 mill bolts inside to do so
