Hi, hope you are still checking for comments. I got the top star screw off easy. Now the bottom two screws are up in a recessed area and there is no way I can get the star screw end up there on a drill so I grabbed my torque screw driver. Even that won't get it flush on there and instead of unscrewing, no matter how hard I pushed in, the screw started to strip instead. How does a mechanic actually do it? Thanks.

On the gear on the motor ,do you put anything like grease on it? or is it supposed to be dry?

Is the 2007 vw eos passenger regulator compatible with the 2010

Thanks so much ! Where did you get the regulator piece from (link)? My window made louder noises when I closed the door then it just stopped working properly. It made loud noises, would go all the way down first before going back up so I think my motor is fine since it’s getting the power but just the regulator is broken. Correct me if you think I’m wrong

Available from a VW dealer near you.

Thank you for this, I already had it all apart but haven't pulled the regulator yet. I will have the new one today for $330!!! Part the reason I watched this is there is a little proximity sensor just below the mirror that was just floating around and someone had siliconed it on but I am unsure of exactly where it is supposed to go. I believe you called it the security sensor. Also I was able to pull the entire panel off, there is a white tab on the latch assembly that slides out but it is tricky.

I found what the little sensor was, it's just the light for the alarm. It had so much silicone on it the red LED was covered.

I have that same 1/16 inch problem where the window doesn't go all the way up and I can get water in the car during a car wash. Is it I simple adjustment with the window not sitting up enough before screwing the bolt?
@PowerUpAuto3 жыл бұрын
Easy would be to loosen the bolts for the clips on the glass and just raise the glass a bit.

@@PowerUpAuto Thank you. I long suspected that was the solution but didn't feel like removing the panel again when I replaced my window regulator. Now that I know, I'll likely do that.

Hi . Thank you for the video. I've done it and all work but my airbag lights still on how to clear it?
@PowerUpAuto3 жыл бұрын
Don't unplug the airbag when you do this. You should be able to buy a reset tool on line to reset the airbags. If that does not work off to the VW dealer.

The guy on the video took the regulator out so fast and put the other ones so fast I didn't even know what I look like I wanted to see him hold it up in the air for at least 15 seconds or so so I can see what a regular looks like but he shoved it in there so fast I couldn't tell what it look like why couldn't he just held it up so we could see it instead of slamming it in there so fast this video sucks

Taking off the inside panel first would have made this much easier. Your just lazy and want to work harder.
@PowerUpAuto3 жыл бұрын
Taking off the inside panel involves removing the outer handle and the latch, both labor intensive. Also for the latch you would need a set of triple tap to remove the bolts. This is an easier method and works just swell.
