Watch a full tutorial as a 2015 Subaru WRX will have a brand new pair of NVX 6.5" Speakers installed in the factory location. These speakers will be run off the radio's power and will provide a cleaner sound and bass response over the factory speakers.

just rotate the door after you take it off and set a towel on the floor so you dont scratch it .. no need to take off the door panel . good video

How are you going to access a door speaker without taking off the door panel?

@@midwestIAboy he means the panels and the plugs, no point unscrewing and unplugging the door if you can just rotate it and set it to the side

Thanks for a great video.Ill go ahead and get this update. You suggested getting fast rings for the speaker door. This hasn't been listed, i have a 2015 XV what would you recommend. There are just too many options to choose from for an amateur to make an informed decision.could you perhaps add a link and ill buy then through your link also. Thanks in advance.

I noticed ya did the alpine R series for the front. Is there a reason ya went with these instead of the alpine R coaxial for the rear? Do they sound better or cheaper?

I just got an 2021 Crosstrek and should be similar to this, I know the Alpine S and R coaxial do not fit in my rear doors due to the mounting height. If I had to guess this might be the reason but I can’t say for sure.

@@evanj9097...but that is where mounting spacers come in handy. Putting the glass all of the way down and measuring from the speaker hole to the glass should give you (max) mounting depth. Figure how much you need with the new speakers and order that size (+1/16").

I was going to install JBL GX628 speakers. Now I don't know what to do. Which one is better? Anyone out there have an opinion?

...if using the factory Subaru hu, choose a speaker w/low rms values and a high sensitivity. If you are going to use amps, choose a speaker that matches your amp output the best. A 60w or 90w rms speaker does you no good if those speakers see 15w from a factory hu.
