Most of these AM2+ motherboards received a bios update to use AM3 cpu's, and the bumb is insane. Going with an Phenom II X4 840 for exemple.

Nice video I would like to see 2010 Version but the results are not hard to predict i7-980x would overwhelmingly perform better than phenom ii x6 1100t

Me too. And true, the 1100T would be more comparable to the 4c/8t i7's than to the 6c/12t i7-980X

My brother graciously gave me his nForce 780i for a retro build and it has 3x 8800GTXs hahaha. I love it so much. It's literally a perfect motherboard.

Picked an i5 4570 with 16gb 1600 with a z97 mate sli board recently. Put a 9800gtx+ for the time being but wanting something better as the 512 card is severely lacking. Thinking a 1070?
