Great entertaining review! I have an '09 T Cat. Basically the identical machine. The torque you understated is amazing. It is a Torque monster. After almost 10 years it is still the top of the heap when it comes to torque. HP is way underrated on these 951's

Thanks very much! agreed they never really talk HP\Tq figures on ATV's for some reason, the thing has so much mid-range, perfect for hill climbs or doing tasks, I miss it!

Its a lot tamer then you'd think, they're really setup to trail ride effectivly not scare your pants off! still pretty powerful, I think the CanAms are more aggresive with the power. I miss this thing lots, they seem to be listed for sale now then I sold this for quite a few years ago now.

@@ragingrhinooffroad6264 Me too! if prices on ATV\dirt bike used ever come back down to something reasonable, I used to see these in need of some repairs for 2000$ Canadian, same with Brute force 750's and Can Am 800's, these days, sigh.

@@Kingsoupturbo Yep they are very expensive at the moment. A brand new outlander 1k cost around atleast 16 or 17 grand which is ALOT. Im also sad that arctic cat got bought out and they have this whole "alterra lineup". They dont make the cats like they used too sadly :(
@Kingsoupturbo2 жыл бұрын
@@ragingrhinooffroad6264 Its a shame about that whole Arctic cat thing, didn't you want to drive a sweetly named TEXTRON OFF ROAD? hee hee, personally as much as I liked the Thundercat, I'd check out a Brute Force Grizzly King Quad for comparison if I was shopping again, when prices get normalized. I've been enjoying my 94 Polaris 400, a lot easier to ride then the big TCat, although lacks the ultimate power and neat looks.

I recently purchased 2 artic cat thunder cat 1000XT 2014 model both identical. There the half front artic cat green and the rear half black. There incredible machines I got them both from the original owner there garage kept.everything works perfect one has 800 miles and 500 hours and the other has 230 hours and 748 miles. The power steering is amazing. It has so much bottom and top end. I don’t know why all the artic cat 1000cc models are hard to find especially in good condition. I believe there very underated I can barley find any videos or reviews anywhere especially in the own I own. I want to post some KZbin videos soon if mine for everyone to see! I have own Kawasaki bayou 300 4x4 Honda rancher 420 4x4 Suzuki ozark 250 and Honda recon 250 as well as a Honda rancher 350 and a Yamaha kodiak 450 and 700. I love the automatic transmission of the artic cat and how big and responsive it is. I’m really impressed. I added a back seat and led headlights and a rear second person seat and rear d ring shackles and a front led color changing stero with 8” speakers and 700 whatts of power and it has a built in light bar!! I will have to post a video soon.

Thanks for watching! You have a whole fleet of fun stuff! I rarley see Thundercat 1000's for sale around here, quite a bit more of the CanAm stuff, I think late 2000's side by sides were taking over huge and people weren't spending big money on the large CC ATV's. hope to have another one someday, I have a 94 Polaris 400L now!

What does the lock do on the right handle behind it

Kingsoupturbo what does it do
@Kingsoupturbo4 жыл бұрын
@@nickk3647 so normally the front differential is open, so only 1 tire will spin, if you lock it, both tires spin at all times, it makes steering difficult but makes a big difference in loose conditions, hill climbs, so you have all 4 tires locked and putting power down.

LEDs are better in non projector situations. They will be brighter. There’s a reason hids need projector housings.

I suppose it depends on how bright they are, I've still been blinded on the street from drop in LED stuff into halogen housings.

So apparently this motor was a clean sheet design from Arctic cat like their own 700 H1 which replaced the suzuki 700 used previously. (same with the 500 which I owned previously) Really the end of Arctic cat going nuts before it was bought out.
