I have the same problem as of right now and also, you didnt really have to take out the airpag/steering wheel. You also definitely didnt need a dremel tool either

why didn't you just remove the ignition switch (the black plastic thing with the electrical connector) from the cylinder housings (the metal part) and swap them?

hello, I ordered a new computer in the USA where they told me that I just had to mount it, nothing more. at reception no start possible. I was given a key adaptation procedure but it does not work. I tried with tech 2 and other software but impossible Thank you for your help

Did you have the passlock issue. If that’s all you had . THe only thing you needed to do was replace the black sensor that is attached to the new ignition housing that he installed here. This guy took the long tedious route. I just did this last week and it took about twenty minutes to switch the sensor. And thirty minutes to program your key pass code to it . You don’t need to take the steering wheel off.

So what part is it that will fix this problem an ignition switch, ignition sensor or ignition housing?

It’s the sensor that’s ultimately the problem. But the new housing comes with a new sensor. If you get a sensor out of a junkyard or something, you’re running the risk of that part having the same problem. The new housing fixed it for me entirely. I linked what I bought in the description.

really all you need to replace is the actual ignition switch itself the black round piece where the wire plugs into you just remove it from the NEW Complete switch assy . 2 screws and install on the original switch body that on the truck the just do the relearn
