Oh yes I definitely have one of these beauties. With less than 5,600 of them ever made in with the SRT package. 😎👍🏻 They are considered gems and rare. People who don’t know about this car wouldn’t understand the beast this thing holds inside. Aggressive indeed and always so fun to drive. It’s raw and still holds what driving a manual car should be. This car ain’t to me a pretty interior that cost a fortune… it’s ok and does the job tho. This car to me is an actual beast that’s inter graded with in. Like Honda with the all time fav B series and now K series to name a few. They are modern marvels that to this day still push forward to new innovations and more power. With Mitsubishi parts from the evo/GSR etc. One can upgrade to your needed power levels. But stock alone this thing can handle 400/420 as a daily monster. Simple tunes like Diablo etc… now pushing over the 450 mark will increase risk dramatically. But to be safe and send many to gapplebees. It’s definitely manageable. My car?.. 325 range on a Diablo 93 tune with some adjustments. Air intake and dual 3” to 4” tip exhaust. AEM Wideband yadda yadda. You win some you lose some but either way your having such a great time. And till this day STILL turn heads and as I pass them they are literally saying, “oh shit that’s an SRT4!” Lol gotta love it.

Had a silver 2008 caliber srt4 sold it, 4 months later got a 2009 deep water blue srt4 I missed it so much. This car was ahead of its time. In 2023 it fits in with the recent hot hatches out now.

I'm not even done watching the video and I agree with "medalohhonor1919" its a turbo SUV! What the heck was Dodge thinking!!! They need to shoot them selves in the foot! He's jabbering on and its just not matching the metal! All they had to do was refine the Neon body style just a little and up the power.. THATS ALL and I bet that would have sold to the Tuner Market a whole lot better than this piece of poo dung!! A dang SUV with too much "Undeserved" power. 285HP.. What the heck for!!?

neon2000man is correct... the SRT4 Neon had less HP/TQ and ran a full second quicker in the 1/4.

RWD is better for any kind of turns. Plus, SRT$ CAlibers has extreme torque steer.

@ 4:00 : "...this transmission was built specifically to handle the torque and horsepower of the 2 4 engine..." Oh Yeah !? Then why was the power output of the engine lowered shortly before that ugly little SUV hit the market ? For the longest time the Caliber SRT was said to have 300hp and 300lb.ft of torque and now then it came out with 285hp and 265lb.ft of torque. Don't believe the hype.

keep in mind that in that price range you have the mazda speed3, the speed6. some used 350z M3 soo i dont think the srt4 is the last. and you are correct i dont use the car just for street racing, but sometime you need some extra power.anyways, congrats in your srt4 hope to see some vids of it

I drove the SXT model and it felt cheap. I'd save my money and put it towards a different vehicle.

not the srt-4. the neon srt-4 might be cheap and ugly, but it would out run an sti, evo etc, so dont judge in looks, judge in performance, neither of you guys have driven the caliber srt-4 so you cant say is slower than the neon srt4, i hope not

the day neon become rare hell will freeze over havent u seen all the problems dodge has had the with the neon over the years. Trust me this new srt-4 will be faster and better starting off with 285 hp

the front end of the csrt4 looks aggressive with those wide fenders and 19" wheels. dodge guys should make the avenger an srt and give it an aggressive exterior like this one.

Yeah I have been in a few and while it does feel a little cheap, I like the way they styled the interior. As long as it doesn't break, I'm good.

your kidding...right???i have an evo9 and i have paersonally beaten a dozen or more neon SRT's... some of them ha5-6grand in them..my friend rob's has 14grand and a mopar built motor in his and he can only beat me in a straight line like on a highway and only after 135ish..i mean serioulsy..its a good car but it doesnt compare to evo's and sti's...sorry
