I remember watching this live. When we got the #1 pick I started doing cartwheels in my kitchen. So tragic what has happened since but at least we got 4 incredibly fun years out of Rose. I wouldn't trade them for anything.

+TheDeceptiveGaming Like the above said, the lottery is only to determine the order of the Top 3. Multiple teams can move up (like in 2011, when Cavs and Jazz moved up). So you can still "win" in the lottery, but finish 2nd or 3rd. The Bulls' combination hit first in the drawing, so they won the overall lottery; Heat's combination hit right after, then the Wolves' combination hit to finish the drawing.

Ikr,i think everything worked out for the best for us,having Rose in the system while Wade is there would mess it up and the him and LBJ trying to share passes,CB1 fits in perfect for us.But it would've been cool to just seen D-Rose in a Heat Jersey.And i cheered for him(i'm still a fan of Rose) and Memphis to win the NCAA ship,but it's very ironic that the player that kept them away from that ship was no other than future Heat member Mario Chalmers drafted the same yr...funny how life works:-D!

Thank God the Heat did not get D.Rose.That would of most likely meant NO draft day trade for M.Chamers, Chris Bosh accepts the sign and trade to the Cav's, U.Haslem would of left as a free agent in 2010 for a bigger contract, No Free Agent signing of S.Battier or Ray Allen cause D.Wade would of left to Chi Town becuase of the situation with his wife and Kids....I dont think Heat fans realize this...

Lebron did leave Cleveland, being a free agent doesn't change that. Many people have different kids with different woman, doesn't make them a bad person. He provides for them. Chicago is a crowded town so that argument doesn't really change much. going somewhere else.
