Can you please explain what happened? I am having the same issue with a 2008 escalade brand new Rebuilt engine having to much blow by. Thanks

Damn!! That pockets gonna hurt!! Back pressure test is must when chasing misfires under acceleration, especially if you’ve got 1 entire bank misfiring

This one was crazy, Sadel! I wonder if it's one of those "my neighbor builds engines" or if it's a Jasper unit. Either way, that bank 2 cylinder head must have curves like an old-school Mac Tools poster girl. I'm still in shock at that back pressure PSI. Wow!

this one definitely was a head scratcher for a minute lol and I know for sure it wasn't a jasper type unit, thank you for watching

sounds like the ventilation system is blocked somewhere, doesn't it?
@carlodonnell1462 жыл бұрын
you mean it sounds like one cylinder is low on compression?

Would a tight piston or connecting-rod cause that kind of a problem? Since it was rebuilt, what are the chances of that kind of an error being made?

Where did you learn to analyze the waveform like that , do you have a book or something or can you recommend me a book I can buy? Thanks for you sharing acknowledge
@DTEAuto2 жыл бұрын
Karu, I don't have a book .... and I have spent many years "practicing" and looking at known good vehicles of my own and spending tons of hours trying to understand what all the waveforms were showing. Along with trying to self learn via content on the internet. If you watch all my other videos you will find many more waveform breakdowns and explanations of many different type of failures and how they can be found and "seen" with a scope, feel free to browse them all and ask questions as you may. I hope to bring some insight to others by putting these out , thank you for watching

So, what was the final fix to this issue? Were the catalytic converters replaced? Did that fix the problem? I am having exactly the same issue on an exactly same kind of vehicle. PLEASE HELP!!!
