Orange wire is not necessary unless u want reverse buzzer

Hi, I have bought used Curtis 1236. without changing any parameter, can you use any THROTTLE TYPE on this controller or do I need to identify the pre-programmed THROTTLE TYPE set by previous owner? Is there any anyway to detect current throttle type?

Does the controller M- go to A-1 0n the motor and the forward and reverse post go to the M- on the controller also

I didn't really check the speed. However the power is substantial as compared to stock.
