I think it was right out in the countryside ?. Apparently there was absolutely nothing there apart from the track and it was hard to get the volume of spectators to it.

Raikkonen was unlucky with his exhaust problem, massa capitalizing. Good result for Toyota in 3rd. Lewis was on the back foot after a grid penalty but had a drive through from his own mistake and scored no points.

Coulthard was 3rd here in 1995 & 2002. Won in Year 2000 and he probably would have won in 1999 if his Mercedes Engine didn’t fail. He had a lot of poor reliability in his Career. He would have won more races and more podiums more points if it wasn’t for bad reliability.

The notion, repeated throughout, is Hamilton lost “an easy win” in Canada. But he didn’t. He was already behind Raikkonen and Kubica after the stop and Heidfeld would probably have won, bearing in mind the only reason Kubica won is synchronised swimming between the two BMWs.

David Coulthard’s greatest drive was here in year 2000. His best win I would say David Coulthard Vs Michael Schumacher was a brilliant Battle great race here he caught Schumacher and passed him in the end he was on fire great pace and very agressive and showed Michael the finger.

Lewis's traditional annual "Off-day". Just a collection of errors really. But throughout his career, he always seems to bounce back from these off-days very well at the next race, as he did at Silverstone with, imo, the greatest drive of my lifetime and the best since Schumacher in Spain in 1996.

After the exhaust tailpipe broke on the right hand side of Raikkonen's car, I am astonished (and was at the time as well) that he wasn't shown the black with orange circle flag (car in dangerous condition and must pit for repairs). That tailpipe flapping around in the gale force wind produced by the car was dangerous to himself, spectators, marshalls and other drivers. He should have been called in for repairs, F1 dodged a bullet that day, especially when it finally came off

A crushing performance by ferrari that day really solidifying their advantage in aero efficiency, Lewis was especially rusty that day honestly might have been his worst driving performance up to that point in a formula 1 car and a lot of pressure on his young head going to the next race at silverstone with some of the press already beginning to turn on him, the mistakes he should have been making in his rookie year coming out in his sophomore year. Questionable McLaren strategy I know this was the Lewis tire shredder years but they really should have ran a longer first stint to overcut the clearly slower cars in front (this was overlooked as a result of the drive through penalty)

@@RANDOMZBOSSMAN1as Brundle said though, a higher fuel load would have also hurt the tyres a lot more and given you said it was Lewis’s tyre eating days, the strategy wouldn’t have worked. Tbh I think Mclaren’s strategy was the correct call. Be lighter so that lewis had enough of an offset to make overtakes. Lewis and the team just made an error of judgment in thinking he’d passed Vettel cleanly. Had he let him back past , he would have been able to overtake him again and get back to where he was before the drive through (and had no drive through so he would have been on course to score points). Plus he was being very erratic behind Piquet. With heavier fuel, Lewis wouldn’t have been as fast and perhaps would have been stuck behind the likes of Coulthard etc because of it and lost more time

Great fight for the last podium spot - weird to think they'd be teammates for the new Lotus team a season and a half later and consigned to being backmarkers! (Well except Virgin and HRT but there you go). Hamilton was held up badly by Piquet. He struggled to pass him he nearly sent one up the inside but thought better of it thinking they could be contact so he cut back on the racing line. Didn’t want to risk it.

But it wasn't his fault the team messed up they released him to early the Green Light came on to early to release him. The Mechanic pressed the Button to early so green light came on to early. No Massa's Fault.
