2008 Honda Civic LX 50,000 mile Review (Start up, Tour, Engine etc)

Our Odyssey was being fixed last week so I decided to review this 2008 Civic LX. Still have to upload my review of the 2013 Journey and Mini Cooper I made months ago.

We have a 2008. It's been amazingly reliable . It's low off the ground so you won't enjoy driving it in the winter . Other then that it holds the road like a sport car and is very economic. The rear shocks wear out quickly but are cheap to replace. Use good quality or you'll replace them again later.

If I were going to buy one of these I'd want an '09 EX-L sedan with manual. I like the '09 upgrades plus EX-L's get traction and stability control and '09 was the only year to offer a manual in the EX-L.

The only problem I have with these cars is it's okay to put up to 2 people in this car, driver included, but put in a total of 3 or 4 and the engine starts bogging down real quick. It just doesn't have the power to handle that much weight.

Pretty sure it came out in late 2005 for the 2006 model year. This car actually won 2006 Motortrend Car of the year and rightfully so, considering how modern this was back then. What do you think about the 10th gen Civic?

Honda Civics are nice and cool looking compact cars! And most of these cars in the 2000s still look great and only aged a bit!

Quick question, I have an 08 LX Civic and the other day I did a speedo test to see if all the lights are working and noticed that mine has lights for cruise control, but my steering wheel didn't come with the buttons. Does that mean that the vehicle is capable of cruise control but wasn't outfitted with the buttons? Or is that light there on all models whether it has it or not? I don't really see the point in having an indicator for something the vehicle isn't equipped with so I'm just curious.

This car looks nice ,but the engine 1.8l warms up very very slowly, at winter it very unpleasant to be in this car with bad heater

+Mirik Man keep the rpm up about 500rpm above where it is at cold start rpm. also, does this color seem to have a brownish tinge to it or is it just me

I hate the steering wheel in the pre-refresh models but otherwise I like this gen Civic, I actually really wanted my dad to buy a 2010 EX coupe with a stick that Carmax had back when he was car shopping.

I had the 06 civic hybrid and I was able to get 60mpg however the hybrids that year at a lot of problems, my 08 ex is pretty nice, and not much has changed!

The vents are bigger in this gen Civic. The radio, knobs and climate controls are placed right. The storage is excellent as well. The cloth seats on this gen are more comfortable than the 9th gen.
