People give them hell for gas mileage but that's about average for all full size suvs and trucks. My 04 Tahoe gets 15.5 and our 08 Silverado gets 14.5 and my old H3 got 18.5. side note, I drive like an old lady.

I have a silver Ice H2 Hummer, not the best , perhaps it's not the best off road, perhaps it sucks in town, perhaps is the worst ranked by consumer reports, but when I'm driving my ice silver h2 hummer, it feels so great, everyones look my vehicule passing by, so I really love my hummer and I CAN AFFORD IT !!!!!!! Hell yeah!!!!

It's so great for the environment. These cars are SO fuel-efficient. It's really REALLY good for the environment, just like yogurt and vegetables is good for our souls, the Hummer H2 is good for the earth. Earth needs its daily dose of Hummer. And this does it! i would actually buy this over a jeep any day lol and this is coming from a guy who owns a jeep. its got luxuary, comfort, and it can get dirty when you need it to. Jeeps are pure offroad fun vehicles. the more an more i look at the H2 the more an more i fall in love with it and want one

i have never owned a range rover. but if i wanted a luxury off-roader it would be the only car i would buy. if you know anything, jaguars and land rovers from the 80s and 90s are hoirrible because they were from the residue of british leyland auto industry. the new ones, the ones from the ford era, are very comfortable, reliable, and powerful. what's more, they have much more off-road technology than any other vehicle

I see the Hummer H2 as more of a collector's vehicle than something that I would drive everyday. If your dolla danglin like E-40 or something, then by all means get it. It is all about image. But understand even MB has hyper expensive vehicles that cost more than a H2 as well, and sucks about the same amount of gas. Yall feel me? If I had an H2, I'll only drive it during very, special occasions like...getting married, or getting fired like Rick Wagoner.

the whole point of a range rover is that it's an all rounder. it's as luxurious as you could ever want, it can cross africa stock, and it's comfortable. the g-wagon is good off road, but that's about it. the interior is very much sub-par with other mercedes' and other vehicles in its price range. it starts at $100,000 it's just not worth it's money.

i feel sorry for the people that pay $60+ grand for a vehicle that will mainly bring ridicule instead of impressing people. You can buy H2's only a few years old for only $15 grand on eBay. Only about 2% of the 370+ H2 auctions actually sold. As for off road capability, these have never won "best of year" in any comparison tests with other 4x4's by any respected off road magazine. H2's are basically targeted to the "look at me, i'm tough" crowd. You hardly see these off road.

first, 393hp and 415lb/ft of torque is not underpowered. 2ndly, the old 6.0 v8 has 11mpg, but the bigger 6.2 w/ 6spd has an average of 13mpg. w/c is better than rr's 12mpg. it has similar interior quality as the escaladeand an excelent offroader. IMO, people buy hummers because they want to and they can. on a silhoute, you can never mistake it for another vehicle becaus HUMMER is LIKE NOTHING ELSE.

Nice comment, but these things can off road. there good for it. But i agree most of the people who buy these dont use it for off road purposes. you can get other rigs at a better price that can do the same thing. but Hummer is selling its image. Just like buying a Lambo. lots of other cars are nicer and faster or as fast as a lambo. but. It just aint a Lambo. Its the image and name that goes with the respect of the purchase. I do agree a 4runner would be a better buy though.

i will concede that the average person has more of a reason to buy it now as the interior is half-way decent, but it still doesn't hold water to the range rover. also, if you really wanted a 7 seater "luxury"(i put luxury in quotes because the h2 buyer obviously has no concept of the word) why not go for the lr3 and save about 20,000!?! by any standards, the h2 sucks, including off-road. inside, it's not even comfortable for me (i'm 6'5'')
