Greetings Doc. What builder would you suggest for a semi-custom Tele? I've thought about just combining various Fender bits, but that's boring and won't quite get me where I want. Plus, I'd love to support a smaller builder/modifier. Thanks!

If you got this fron Madrid, it can be the twin of mine. I Have the red one from Madrid too. I played some shows with it and sounds great, but i had the idea to change the pickups or sell it. What pickups do you recomend??

That's too cool that you ended up with the red one! I have already changed the pickups. I put in some old Peavey Super Ferrite pickups that came out of an early Foundation Bass. It really cleared it all up. I had to route the pickup holes a bit, but it was so worth it.

I'm just like you in that I won't even look at a used instrument if it isn't taken care of and at least 95% defect- free.
