Just did this today thanks to your video! My jeep completely died while idling. Put the new one on, had to jump the battery but it keeps sputtering and dying. Should i get a new battery?

I know the belt has to be organized properly but do the grooves have to be aligned? I have a 2005 laredo.

Yes. But the belt is a set size. So putting it on properly will set it in the correct spot

Do I need man strength to pull the tensioner pulley? Do I need a tensioner bar?

Yes depending on the condition of the surrounding parts it might require a decent amount of muscle to release the tensioner pulley. But I promise it will loosen up enough to pull the belt off!

How long did it take you to remove the bolts from the alternator because we are having some trouble right now 😅

Barely any time at all. Your bolts must be seized. Spray some rust remover all over them!

Guy doesn't know what he is doing. To get the alternator off of the left fork mount, you DON'T pound with a hammer, you DON'T wiggle the right bolt hole with a ratchet. You PRY the alternator loose with a big screwdriver or pry bar from the left fork mount and it comes loose in two seconds. Also, the field wire connector comes loose easily by pushing on the top to push the red lock back, then push the ctch on the top with the same screw driver and it slides off. Take the field wire off before you pry the alternator out of the left fork mount.

It all depends. I tried to remove the alternator with a pry bar and it was so rusty and stuck that it simply can't be removed. Smacked it 3-4 times with a hammer and was able to take it out easy. It's going to be replaced anyway so no problem hitting it with a hammer.
