Why are you removing the clips? If you push the clips in rather, than pulling them out, it will release the line.

I was told by a very good friend of mine who’s a 25+ year retired electrical engineer at 88 years young that after I ended up buying a new battery, got a friend’s AAA to tow my car home and after 8 days and putting in a new starter motor myself and had 1 friend help me do all this running around and then it finally started. When I took It to my friends house and the eng die twice on it’s maiden 10 minutes voyage when I had to slow for a stop sign and to turn into his driveway. Well my friend said I could just search for it with KZbin and when I told him watched your video 2-3 times and stopped at where you explain how to get the pump of the gas tank and you wouldn’t recommend trying it if your not sure. I could swear you mentioned the fuel filter was actually inside the tank where the pump and sending unit are on a 2008 3.7L , regular gas, Grand Cherokee Laredo? He hasn’t seen your video yet but swears he saw one of same year, model etc. as I have and it’s.a really simple inline easy procedure to do and I just haven’t taken the time to find out where it’s located but it’s not a hard operation and fairly easily accessible?? Any and all comments are welcome. I'm going to have to watch this one again. Oh, when it died because I slowed both times when it did stabilizee it took a fraction of a second to get into gear. I got over 200k on the second most with the same trans?? Thanks if you actually read it all! 🙄

Did you find out? I just replaced my starter in a snowstorm and just about had it with trying to fix it.

New sub & love that lift & 33s! I also have 07 jgc Laredo same color as yours 3.7 just hit 211k 🫡 But recently changed purge valve & ESIM canister O-ring myself cause I was getting p0456 which took care of that code but few days later got p0452 saying my fuel pressure sensor circuit is low 😢 I know I have to take her to my mechanic and have them replace the switch any recommendations on how to take care of that p0452! I have a brand new gas cap already I erased it last night and gonna monitor it in the next few days any tips?

The Jeep is my son’s. Funny thing happened yesterday. He took it to get scanned because the check engine light came on and the mechanic told him in a heavy accent “it’s a Jeep, they light up like Christmas tree, don’t worry about it”

Where is the fuel filter located? I having trouble finding it or is it a part of the fuel pump

Wish I knew. It’s not in the fuel tank nor along the fuel lines. The only place I didn’t check is behind the air box in front of the fire wall.

the fuel filter is built into the fuel pump, it's basically a strainer inside the bottom of the fuel pump, and is considered unserviceable. so basically, you just have to replace the whole pump.

Isn't there an access panel under the back seat to get to this without dropping the tank?

I saw no access panel in the floor when the tank was removed.

Hi, thank you for this very educative video. I have a question, I am looking for those clips which are a must, I found them on Amazon and on Dorman's website but they are not cleared as fit for use in a 2006-2008 grand Cherokee Laredo. Could you please confirm that you used it and it worked? I am in Africa and I don't want to order a wrong part. It takes time for it to be sent from the USA to Mali. Counting on your help in this regard.

I feel your pain. So those clips are universal for multiple manufacturers. Here in the States they can be purchased at Napa and Advanced Auto. I really doubt they will say “exact” fit for Jeep. You need to make sure they are facing the right direction before you force them into position and you will know if they are installed wrong. Use a small flat screw driver to pull the old ones up.

Hi, but do you change the Fuel Pump only? Or the entire Fuel Pump Assembly? Or in this case the Assembly is the entire Pump?

The fuel pump and sending unit are one piece. So when you replace the pump it comes with the sender too. Now there may be a way to separate them and replace only the pump however that wasn’t the case for this repair.
